Turkish Kitchen Hertford — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Turkish Kitchen Hertford after picking up our parents from the airport on their first visit to the UK. We were all quite hungry and eager to find a Turkish restaurant, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The staff made us feel right at home, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of fantastic.

The dishes were absolutely delicious, offering an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients that transported us back to Turkey.

Our parents, who were visiting for the first time, were particularly impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. It was a wonderful way to welcome them to the UK and share a meal together.

Delicious. Absolutely delicious. 12 of us ate here for a 40th birthday lunch, and it was brilliant to see a varied menu with plenty of choice for so many people. The meats were cooked to perfection, alongside delicious breads, dips and halloumi.

I had the Chicken Iskender, a first for me, and the delicious food blew all anxieties away. You know what it’s like trying something new.

The service was brilliant. Attentive, understanding, patient and made the birthday boy feel very special.

The portion sizes were larger than expected, but that’s not a bad thing. Just be mindful when ordering lots of sides. Make sure you leave room for the main dish. We had lots of left overs and the restaurant gave us to-go boxes to take it home and it was still delicious when we ate it later...

I went as a group of 5 with 4 other ladies for dinner. Very nicely decorated inside despite average looking signage outside and reasonable price as well. I paid around £20 for a main course and had the vegetable mousakka (it was a big portion!) And a soft drink. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there was no information on the menu as to if the food contained gluten or not. I'm not coeliac but am gluten intolerant and tend to find as a result I normally have to go to Italian restaurants or pubs as their menus are usually better labelled. I picked the vegetable moussaka as this seemed the safest option, and luckily this didn't have any drastic effects on me so I know I could have this dish again if I went back but its a shame this information...
