Ware Tandoori — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

When i was severely ill, i forgot to inform the restaurant to cancel a reservation. Not only did I give a valid reason, but I also apologised. The person who called me be very rude, telling me i have no responsibility and dont know how it works, they also told me never to call or come here again. How is this running a business with great customer service? I was going to reschedule the reservation for another day however due to the person's attitude they just lost business. Great recipe for success? I think not. Definitely a place to avoid. Oh and the person also called me a rat. Great level of professionalism isn't it? I am more than happy to invite this person to my workplace where we exercise professionalism, customer service, how to run a business that is dependent on being understanding, corteous, kind and helpful to cutomers. Order: chicken korai, chicken chilli masala, mushroom rice, pilau rice, naan and tandoori grilled meats.

Ordered for collection and ready in 20 minutes. That’s good.

Rice was standard, as was naan and tandoori meat, with a good curry it would be fine.

However, the chicken korai was astonishingly bad. Heavily watered down, with copious huge slices of onion, tomato and pepper. It tasted as though it had been cooked for 20 minutes with no seasoning nor spices. There was no flavour whatsoever. I have been trained to cook curry and I wouldn’t serve this to a friend. I have had better chicken korai from a supermarket packet. Chicken chilli masala suffered the same review although slightly more flavour.

Total meal cost: £32.

Value: not worth...

My wife and I visited ware tandoori after finally dumping the kids with nan and grandad for the evening. We hadn’t been out for an Indian meal in so long and was worried because we don’t get out much we didn’t want to get our choice of restaurant wrong, ending up with a pants meal and ruin a rare child free evening.

However we was both delighted, the service was great and the food was amazing.

We both had a balti dish and oh my god it was beautiful. Served in a cast iron bowl and full of flavour and spice.

Really pleased with our choice of restaurant. Hopefully we can come back...
