Worst ā€œItalianā€ meal I’ve ever had. In fact thinking back to it makes me feel a bit sick, I’m amazed I didn’t get ill. Firstly we ordered the burrata, it is clearly not burrata it looked like chewy mozzarella at best. The waitress clearly knows it’s not as she didn’t even seem bothered or offer a fresh one just offered a different starter. Then the mains, food is clearly not cooked fresh and I’d argued all microwaved. It came about 2 mins after ordering which was the first flag and it was luke warm, the sauce was all runny, you could tell it was not cooked properly at all. I’ve eaten in Prezzos many times and this is by far the worst and it needs some serious sorting out. I didn’t want to make a fuss about the main as the person I was with chose to go there and I didn’t want him to get upset but it truly was the worse Italian food I’ve ever eaten, I’ve had better ready meals. Thankfully there was a discount because charging Ā£17 for a microwaved tasteless sloppy pasta is a disgrace. (Photo was taken after I’d eaten some of it but you can get the gist of the sloppy weird supposedly ā€œcreamyā€ sauce). Service was odd, certainly wasn’t with a smile. Even expensive places to eat are rubbish these days I wouldn’t be surprised if it closes down soon.

Seen a few reviews saying the atmosphere was bad/quiet…. This was NOT our experience. We went in on a Friday night and it was absolutely heaving!! If anything too busy, needed more staff and a relatively long wait for food. Two pasta dishes, garlic bread and the chocolate bar dessert were all excellent. Nice vibe, and friendly amicable staff. Only draw back was the relatively slow service - they brought us the dessert menu but it took over half an hour to come back and take our order as the staff were run off their feet. Sadly this isn’t the first time we experienced this - we came several years ago to the Ware Prezzo and it was incredibly slow then too. A shame as everything else was excellent - Prezzo head office, please increase headcount and provide your branches with more staff!!

Being honest, it’s nothing outstanding. The restaurant itself is in a really lovely position and the interior is lovely and clean. The staff however (and I’ve been to this place a few times at varying hours of the day) have never been pleasant, it’s like you’re an inconvenience. I’ve seen on numerous occasions staff members taking ages to have a break or just standing around doing nothing. They must also be struggling in the chef department because it takes a minimum of 40 minutes for food to arrive, regardless of how busy it is. Peak times, it can take an hour from sitting down to actually chowing down. The food is average honestly you’d get the same effect buying frozen pizzas. And for the portions you get, most of the starters are overpriced.

This Prezzo appears like it needs a bit of a refurb and a deep clean, worn seats that weren’t very comfortable , grubby floors and dirty windowsills but overall has an open and airy feel, it was mid week lunchtime so quite quiet and pleasant in that sense. I’d come in for lunch with my husband as a birthday treat and had some vouchers including a 25% off and a free slice of birthday cake, before ordering I asked the server what I could use and if I could use both, the response wasn’t hugely polite, which I did raise at the time, and the outcome was a no which I respected as it was in the terms and conditions once I had a read through. Once we had had our meal, the carbonara which was very nice, I paid through the app with the 25% off and as we were leaving a different server came over and asked if we wanted dessert, I explained that I was going to have the cake with a voucher but as I’d already paid and the voucher couldn’t be applied anyway I’d come back another day, the server then left and said she would talk to management even though I said not to worry, she then returned with a piece of cake and said don’t worry about scanning the voucher. It made me feel like they thought I was being a nuisance which wasn’t my intention as we were happy with the meal, however the cake wasn’t actually that nice, they hadn’t warmed it as advertised and it was a bit stale but edible, we daren’t complain for fear of confrontation and just concluded that maybe they were just having a bad day which we all...

Bit of a mixed review if I’m honest. I will address in stages. Food was lovely about right for the price. Service: the young girl who served us was lovely and absolute doll. Polite, attentive perfect, I wish I got her name. Speed of service… this is where my 1st issue is…. The speed was so QUICK! We arrived at just on 7pm by 7:15 our mains had arrived 😳 I mean mine was slightly burnt and I just don’t know how they had the time to burn it!!! šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø by 7:35 they were offering us dessert menus and by 7:45 we was walking out the door! It didn’t feel relaxed at all! Like they just want you gone and the restaurant was DEAD!

My 2nd issue is we were sat next to a group of girls it was a 13th birthday, the parents were sat at a different table giving the girls a small bit of independence. Those girls were the sweetest most polite ever. When their food arrived each said thank you however their main courses they ordered some side bits that hadn’t turned up. They politely asked the waitress… she skulked over to the kitchen area and bad mouthed those girls to the chef… for absolutely no reason! She was so loud insinuating the girls were rude! They were absolutely not!! She then went over to the bar area and again bad mouthing those poor girls to the bar staff and worse still all the other staff chimed in! How are children ever meant to learn independence when they are knocked down by grown adults for no reason!

My 2nd time using that restaurant - first time wasn’t great either and I won’t be...
