Ware Coffee Lab — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

Came in for a coffee and was very disappointed. I ordered an espresso and it was INCREDIBLY sour. I have trained at a speciality coffee shop elsewhere and it was noticably underextracted. Ive been to another coffee lab and it was a much nicer taste. I would not have paid (around £3 I think? I got another item which was mediocre and my total was £6.75) as the menus behind the bar didn't have prices listed.

Despite the fact it wasnt overly busy all the tables were filthy. I was sat down for a while and tables that did get cleared of miscellaneous items weren't wiped and were covered in crumbs.

I had a clear view of the coffee bar and the people working behind it were just chatting when there were numerous tables with items on and or in need of wiping. This shows that even if there was a rush prior, there was time to sort out the floor in the aftermath which wasnt done. Only one table had come in after us as well so there was a decent amount of down time.

Over all other coffee labs are run better but I would avoid this one if you want...

My friend who ordered a hot latte in a takeaway cardboard cup, it came not hot, and the cup very small. My friend asked politely, for a hot latte in a china cup instead with a handle.!! Reluctantly they brought one over, in a beaker without a handle, placed it down, and gave us a nasty rude look.!! It was as if they gave the beaker with no handle deliberately to make it hard to pick up, as it was really hot, to hurt, and to be nasty.!! They had normal cups with handles, but did not use one !! Shocking horible service, terrible.!! I ordered a hot chocolate in a cup, and it was really hot.!! They also ignored us when we first went in, took a good while to serve us.!! It was very quite, and not busy.!! Absolutely rude uncaring staff.!! I will never go back there again.!! I had to grade 1 star, to post this review, but in reality it's no stars if I could do...

I love going to Ware Coffee Lab! I do, however, wish that they opened before 9am...

I'm a huge coffee drinker and used to live and work in London where Monmouth was my coffee of choice. Upon moving to Ware I was hoping to find 'good enough' coffee, yet instead, I found great coffee! My usual is a flat white, and I've also tried their flavoured latte during Halloween and Christmas. My husband and I have been buying their coffee beans for the past three years and we are very happy with them.

The actual cafe itself is lovely and sets a great atmosphere for a hangout spot and is great to work from. The staff at Ware Coffee Lab are always friendly and now that we have visited a few times they know us well enough to start getting our order ready before we've even spoken.
