SERVICE VERY POOR AND MANAGER WOULD RATHER ARGUE THAN APOLOGISE.My advice - AVOID! .
Whilst on holiday we visited with a party of 5 from two caravans, we ordered at the same time but paid via two separate cards due to their being two families. Two meals arrived and after waiting 15 minutes I had to ask for the other three, of which one was a toddlers meal. The toddler meal states it comes with a drink and dessert. I had to argue to get the drink when the meals eventually arrived. The food was good and after waiting 15 minutes asked for the children's dessert which someone said they would go and get from the kitchen. 15 minutes later still nothing so i asked again and got the same response so decided to leave it there and go and enjoy the evenings entertainment.
The following day we went to the same restaurant with it being on site and easier for us to enjoy our evening afterwards. Whilst ordering I specifically stressed the point of bringing all meals out together unlike the night before which the waited seemed very shocked at and went to the kitchen when he had finished our order to explain this. Unfortunately the incompetent staff got it wrong again, two meals arrived and i went and asked straight away for the other 3 and was met by an ignorant and rude member of staff who was not interested, nor did they offer an apology. We sat and waiting patiently for our food, which meant the toddler within the group was taking food off the meals which had been brought our for our other family and after 25 minutes our meals eventually arrived. Due to this, the first two family members had finished their meals, my son didnt want his meal after eating bits from the earlier meals.
We waited for the dessert to come once the table was cleared and still nothing so i went to ask for this and was told by a very blunt member of staff they would go and get it straight away. After a further 20 minutes I asked the same member of staff who said the kitchen were making the dessert. After returning the the table we decided that we were not prepared to wait any longer so decided to leave.
Whilst leaving I asked to speak to the manager to express my opinions, thoughts and suggestions to improve the service they could offer. I was then met by someone who gave their name as Paul, first impressions were I was wasting my time - very cocky, arrogant and ignorant but either way I began speaking with him. I explained the issue we had with the main meals coming out separately and his excuse was "you paid separately so they are cooked separate" even though they are the same table number. I asked what happens with a party of customer who all pay individually, would they receive their meals at different times? he replied "yes". I explained what had happened over the dessert not coming both days and he said they chefs usually take 30 minutes to prepare, I cannot believe it takes 30 minutes to put some ice cream into a bowl. I then found out that the dessert was a take away dessert already in a sealed plastic container which I find ridiculous taking 30 minutes. The manager kept arguing and defending that every request takes 30 minutes. I asked to speak to someone above Paul who would be interested in my complaint and take it on board rather than arguing with me. He said "i am the boss so no", i said ok, ill send an email to the site HQ and express my opinions to them with the hope they will take it on board to make changed going forward with his response "OK Well Done!". I am absolutely appalled by the attitude of the manager of this restaurant, all i wanted was an apology and i'd be happy with the manager asking me to give them another chance the following day.
In the two days we visited the restaurant we spent approximately £120+ on 5 meals and drinks and would of had a further 3 days in the restaurant but due to the managers attitude we went and found alternative catering...

However, they have Implemented an App as an ordering system to manage covid measures but it’s so chaotic, I really felt sorry for the staff. The app itself looks fine but it’s clunky to use and we ended up having our order taken by a waitress in the end , which defeats the point , there was quite a few items of the menu unavailable which we weren’t advised of , only once we’d ordered, so this took time with the waitresses going backwards and forwards and then when we eventually got our food our starters turned up with all of our mains, which we accepted and got on with but then we had to wait for at least 40 minutes maybe longer for our children’s desserts . To be fair they did give us a free round of drinks and kindly discounted our food order to compensate , so we put it down to them using a new system and as the food we’d had was really good we decided to try again for breakfast the next morning. They had no menus available , the app again was sluggish and then every time we selected and finalised our order it came up as breakfasts were unavailable, we tried for about half hour and decided not to ask for help as the staff looked very chaotic again , we gave up and went into Skegness to a cafe in the end. It was a shame as our friends had eaten there Pre Covid and they have said how decent the service And the food had been , it felt like the app had resulted in what would normally be competent staff , speeding around like headless chickens, it appeared there was little organisation. It all seemed so unnecessary for eating in the restaurant , at least the staff would be in control if they just ditched it.if you could book your meal and had waitress table service the experience would have been so much better and no riskier than what they are currently doing ?? Read moreI'm giving this restaurant a 3 star due to good covid regulations on cleaning, keeping families separated etc... But We had a 45 mins queue to get in to the restaurant (understandable) but with 4 kids ❌ once we had got to the front of the queue we were told to take a pic of what was not on the menu... Practically everything we were wanting...❌ Maybe they should have a staff member come out and tell us whilst outside so we could have had a choice where to eat...? Once in the restaurant one way system ✔️we had to open a tab and then stay seated ✔️... 😊 But then waited 25 mins for a member of staff to come to us and take our order ❌ drinks came straight away ✔️waited another 35 mins for our food to arrive ❌ kids pizza was more tomato than cheese, gammon was requested with no peas but came with peas a lot of peas in fact which I think they did to try and make up for the poor size of the 10oz gammon as it was like a slice of bacon ❌😩 we came for a week to southview and planned to eat there regularly but once was enough for us! An hour and 45 mins wait and nothing on the menu...
