It depends when you go that decides the quality of your visit. If you go on a weekday during working hours with kids in school (not 12pm lunchtime), it's quiet enough. But if you go within those times with kids off school, lunchtime, or a weekend; the atmosphere can range from stressful to absolutely awful. The staff buckle under the pressure and that's when mistakes are made. Generally, the food is one of the better McDonald's out there and I've only had a couple mistakes like missing bacon or banana milkshake when I ask for vanilla or chocolate. One time chocolate was unavailable so I ordered vanilla, and they gave me chocolate instead (?) Not complaining though, it was one of the rare times you can thank McDonald's for making a mistake.
What ruins it for me is the kids. If it's not toddlers off the leash running rampant and screaming the roof off and smearing their food all over the tables that the staff either don't or can't clean due to laziness or pressure, then it's teenagers pulling things off the walls, littering the store and the roads outside, harassing other customers verbally and physically, wrecking the tables and other facilities like toilets, and vaping/smoking indoors. The worse part is that the staff don't care either because they don't want to deal with it, or they're genuinely terrified and prefer to keep behind the counter. I've had more than a few visits where I'm more uncomfortable than I should be in a public space where the welfare of the customer should be their primary concern. I've had things like straws poke me in the back of the head when I'm eating and it makes you anxious if they're going to be braver and try something more egregious, like stealing your food right off the table or pinching a fry. I surprised myself in that I would rather be stuck in McDonald's with 100 filthy coughing demon toddlers than 10 vaping hooligans closer to my age.
If you can handle stuff that would normally cripple people with anxiety, go whenever you like. But if you just want a quiet visit, then stick to the quiet hours and NEVER go during the 6 week summer holidays or any...
Read moreMy daughter is a coeliac (wheat and gluten intolerance) so whilst we can usually have a few options on the menu we always ask the staff to omit the bun or bread roll. The staff are always polite and obliging but on occasions we go home with the bun included in the order or the wrong order. This is despite asking at the second window to double check the bun is not included. Yesterday, after ordering her a breakfast roll which should consist of bacon. sausage patty and egg on a tray, we received bacon on a tray with a huge amount of tomato ketchup ( I was not asked whether I wanted this). I returned this morning to pick up x2 white coffees and thought I would mention yesterday's incident. I spoke to " Amy" who said she was the manager today, who seemed more concerned regarding how many slices of bacon my daughter received! I explained that I was not sure but It was more than one slice. She asked me to produce a receipt, I said I paid by card and If you placed the receipt in my bag it would be in my bin at home! She repeated her question regarding the slices of bacon, at this stage she started to point at me in my face but I calmly kept repeating my question regarding consistent wrong orders being given. Furthermore, I asked her to refrain from pointing in my face as I found this unnecessary and aggressive. She quickly pulled her finger back. I informed her that I did not want a refund but I needed to draw this to her attention. I was aware that a few cars were behind me so I shut the conversation down and...
Read moreeverytime i've ordered from here through just eat i've been disappointed. i ordered the katsu chicken wrap and it was all thrown together with not a care at all. i work in fast food and i always ensure that all food prepared is made with care and passion, made correctly and in a presentable manner, yet this wrap was clearly made in a rush (even tho i ordered it at 11:30pm) my large fries also arrived cold, and though i do realise the temperature of the food isn't always the restaurant's fault when delivering, i ordered before directly through the mcdonald's app to a further place and food arrived freshly warm. never have i been satisfied with food from this place. i also ordered two brownies in my just eat order and they did not come, it is not hard to forget two items when the receipt comes out the just eat machine presenting all the items ordered, and is even on the bag. this is the second time i've ordered from here thru just eat and both times i have had food missing. it is not a hard job to get it right. after i had received my food and realised i had items missing, i rang up this place just to be told by some lad that i need to contact customer support on just eat, yet it is the restaurant's clear fault for not including the food ordered, as they are the ones preparing the meals and items, not the people delivering: it is clear that they are just unbothered and careless to make good food. overall, just don't even bother with this place. i am...
