Building is as generic as it can be, which isnât bad just because it looks normal doesnât mean it terrible, besides this cafe isnât supposed to be that itâs supposed to be an ideal place for contractors and plant works alike. Coffee is really good and the chocolate they use absolutely brings it out, strangely it smells like marshmallows, a welcome one at that. Apart from the huge tomato the display of it is quite nice with a good verity. If you like sausages (ha) they use very large ones (haha), but I do think itâs the weakest part of the breakfast said pan dogs are a bit hard to chew through but hey still pretty good. Eggs are cooked perfectly runny which is impressive especially since they put them in perfect circles, bacon is nice average an all but still pretty good bit to salty for my taste . It comes with lucky number of 4 slices of toasts which is a rarity these days and is toasted perfectly . Beans are pretty good. Overall, pretty generic. But thatâs not a critique, because I think the place is perfect as it is, itâs a good place to come by for a break or just wanting a decent breakfast, pricing isnât that bad and you will be filled. Out of all the places Iâve been this was the place that made me full. Will...
Read moreMoved to Leiston from Kent 3 days ago and thought we'd try out a local cafe with excellent reviews. I wish we'd have tried a different one! Firstly, the lady behind the counter had a rotten cold and was constantly sniffling. There were 2 people Infront of me who were served with a smile, but as I stood at the counter she turned her back to collect food. I get that food needs taking to customers as quickly as possible, but why not say "be with you in a moment?" No smile from her whatsoever when my order was taken. She came across very grumpy like she didn't want to be there. (She's clearly unwell so I get that to an extent.) I tried to make chat by saying "you sound like you should be in bed" but that fell on deaf ears and she didn't so much as look at me. Food came out (Tradesmans breakfast) which looked ok. Decent sausages! Bacon undercooked, 1 egg perfect and 1 egg hard. Tasty enough grub. Another lady came from the kitchen to serve and sounded a lot more friendly. Regulars were treated better than randomers.
Overall not a good experience and I'll find another café in the hope that we get treated the same as everyone...
Read moreReally quiet when I visited (two tables occupied and one person waiting on a takeaway) but I waited 35 mins for a takeaway sandwich. I wouldn't have minded so much but the service was terrible and when it finally arrived the sandwich was inedible (if it hadn't been a takeaway I'd have returned it) Staff just ignored me till the food was ready as which point I got a very unapologetically delivered "sorry it's late, my fault, I forgot" It might be that if you're a regular, they're great, as literally everyone that came in after me was being served (though several things were missed from orders or late) but as someone new to the area I'd go anywhere else as it's unfriendly and the food is worse than a supermarket meal deal. There's a co-op in leiston and a decent bagel place - this place offers neither food nor service in...
