Sorry guys but what happened tonight was really poor. There was just the two of us, sat outside, just wanting a cocktail each. There wasn't anyone else outside, no queues, just us two. And a party of people sat inside. Why did it take half an hour to tell us the drinks we ordered was not available. If it was busy I would understand. We were really disappointed.

...

... I'm replying to what you said...... Firstly, I often leave reviews if I have a good opinion or a poor opinion about a place I visited. And as you may have noticed I live locally, and I travel around to many places. I often give places a second or third visit after a poor experience too. If the service, food etc is better, I will alter my review or delete it. All that I require is a average service, average food etc. If you can't give a average service, then yes, you could say I'm hard to please. If prices of food and drink are above the average price, then I expect service and food to be above average... Basically as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. ... We did not reserve a table as we was not aware we had to reserve a table to purchase a couple of cocktails. And to be honest, I never would. Sounds ridiculous. If you only take reservations then may I suggest you buy a sign and place it in front of the entrance. That will then deter people entering your premises and prevent you from getting unwelcomed people causing you to fluster if two cocktails are ordered... If ingredients were missing prior to me ordering, then would it not have been a good idea to tell me when I ordered, rather than 16 minutes later as you admitted to. If you check your cctv again you will see that from us waiting at the door for assistance to leaving the door was approximately 30 minutes. After firstly sitting down for almost 15 minutes at the table waiting for service I decided to go to the bar and place the order. I would have thought within the 15 minutes someone could have come out to take our order, or at least acknowledge us and just say something like "I'm sorry, we are a bit busy, I'll be with you shortly". That would not have taken more than 5 seconds. It's polite, and it's acknowledging that we and others have not been forgotten about. We would have without doubt placed another order if we not had waited as long as we did. No doubt about it at all, not an issue. But, As I've already said above, 15 minutes (approx) waiting to be served, 16 minutes waiting to be told you had no ingredients = half an hour (approx) wasted... Would you place another order after waiting that length of...

Great food but PLEASE SORT YOUR PAGERS OUT. I have eaten here twice in the last couple years. The first time I was sat on a bench by the Mexican Cantina and got up to go to the toilet to be met with my pager going off. When I got up there they said that they'd been buzzing me for a while, but it seemed I only got within range once I moved closer. I had no idea it was even ready! Quite frustrating.

Today I decided to chance it and eat something from there again, and I was glad to see they had new pagers, which I hoped had more range. However, this time I sat on a bench by the All Shapes bus and waited and waited. I moved closer now and then thinking it was again a range issue but alas no buzz. Finally I went up to see what was going on to discover my food had been sitting on the side for a while, and once I opened it up to eat it I'd discovered it had gone cold!

I know there is a button to mute the pager once it goes off but I took care not to touch this just in case, and I feel like it should only turn off the pager once it buzzes, rather than potentially muting it before it has a chance to (if this is how it works, I am admittedly not an expert in pagers).

Admittedly, it was still delicious but annoying that this happened again and I was once again eating cold food from this wonderful food place.

Just thought I'd leave a review to try and make this issue known to the owners. Aside from that, no notes. Good food,...

Usually awesome, REALLY love the food here and usually the atmosphere and service are great too! However, I went yesterday with my partner so we could grab lunch and a drink in the nice weather, and ended up leaving after about 20 minutes. We sat down, which is fine as we have been a few times and are happy to choose a spot we like. However after 10 minutes of waiting, we hadn’t seen a single member of staff. My partner ventured towards the bar in hopes of finding a menu or alerting staff we wanted to order, but was met with blank stares from the teenage staff, some of whom had their backs to him and others who were on their phones. In response to their silence, he asked if we could have some menus. One of the staff members pointed above his head and said, the menu is here. My partner felt a bit embarrassed and came back over to me with a photo of the menu. At that point I could see we probably weren’t going to have a nice time, so we left. Unfortunate as we have been here so many times and loved it...

Mixed reviews from myself in regards to this place. I’ll start with the positives, as they outweigh the negatives. The food is exceptional. Looks great, tastes even better. A little over zealous with the watercress in my opinion, but who’s complaining when everything tastes as good as it does. Bao buns filled with sauce and meat, brimming with flavour. Melt in the mouth wings, and weirdly, Vimto on the menu. What more could you want? Downsides are no delivery, or takeaway. Appreciate they don’t want things sitting in a box getting cold, so delivery is a no go, but collection not being available is a bit of a shame to me. I can drive nearly the whole of Felixstowe in 10 minutes, or maybe I just want to enjoy it on the beachfront, seems a shame. We also arrived at Midday when they were open and were told to come back around 12:30 to be seated, which was just odd. Doors open, staff around, tables setup, but not accepting people to sit. Just soured the mood a little.

What a spot. Great views out to sea. Like most places at Beach Street, this is an intimate restaurant with a big vibe. The staff were welcoming and answered all dietary questions. Everything sounded delicious but went for pork belly bao buns and loaded fries and peach mocktail which was exactly what I was after for a low key birthday lunch. I look forward to coming back in the summer when the roof terrace may be open. I'll be back before then because I love bao buns and having a great local spot saves me a trip to London.

What a fantastic addition to Beach Street. This place is fab! The decor fits perfectly with the Asian theme and the attention to detail is spot on 👌 even Japanese flowers as table decorations. The food is absolutely out of this world, just WOW! The idea of small plates and sharing dishes works perfectly as you can order lots and try it all! Friendly staff and the chefs were wonderful, their passion for their food is evident in the enthusiasm and presentation of each dish. Well done guys! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
