So sorry, one cannot write a review such as I did about first class professional service and only give 4 stars! A major typographical error (or probably fat fingers on the keyboard) for which my apologies and I am happy to correct as well as recording now the best pork crackling and bread flour for miles around. This is definitely 5 stars! Recently (August 2023), and after 22 years of buying granary flour from this wonderful bakery, my bread maker failed so I searched the shop for an alternative......Wow, I was invited to try Multi Seeded Bread and WOW again! Fantastic and as well as healthy, do try it especially toasted, slice it quite thickly so it has a soft centre and wow once more! Once again, at the start of winter 2023, some further good news this time about Duncan's Butchery. We were offered a batch of goat mince to try (we paid for it) which we had never had previously though we were used to making our curries with goat meat. What to do with it? We decided to go for a moussaka which we had made many times before but never with goat. A totally different wonderful taste and an experience to be repeated....

We have recently moved to Martlesham Heath and have used the bakery on several occasions already . The bread is excellent, & , as it happens is 50 pence a loaf cheaper than the bakers we used to shop at in our previous home town . The grandchildren love the decorated biscuits as well . Today I bought some chipolatas and also asked for a steak and mushroom pie , which wasn't on show . I was very pleasantly surprised when the young lady offered to make one and it was absolutely fantastic . To say it was the best pie I have ever tasted would be an understatement. All the staff at Duncan's are pleasant and helpful , but I felt the trouble that was taken in making the pie was unbelievable service . Fantastic bakery and butchers. BBQ meat is to die for and bread and sweet treats are pretty good too. Staff are friendly. Good COVID restrictions allowing only 3 in store. You can also make and collect your order completely outside of the shop. Delivery service also available. Well...
