Hello, here is my option of this cafe. I wanted to find a local cafe that served a good fried breakfast. I do enjoy a proper original English breakfast. So I decided to look on Google to see what the highest rated cafés are locally. This cafe was one of a few that is rated very highly, so I decided to give it a try. On first entering the cafe I saw that the cafe looked very clean, and I received a welcome as I approached the counter. I was asked to take a seat and they took my order..... All good 👍👍👍👍👍 Then things went downhill. I asked for a full English - large, then pointed out, on the menu it said 'smoked' bacon. The lady said- yes it's smoked. I said I just wanted normal bacon, she replied- they only do smoked bacon. I found this very strange, I seriously do not like anything smoked. I prefer the original real taste of any meat. Anyway, I asked what kind of sausages do they serve, the lady did not know, I asked if the sausages are pork as pork was my preference. She said she did not know if it had pork inside, or what kind of meat was inside. She laughed and apologised. In the end I just went along with it and ordered a cup of tea with my breakfast. Service was polite and quick. The food was hot, the plate was warm, not too hot to handle. The atmosphere was good, Music not too loud, no loud talking, the smell of the cafe was fresh.. Really, I can't fault the service and the cafe. 👍👍👍👍👍 Unfortunately the breakfast, in my opinion was not good, not to my taste. The sausages was tough, the consistency was dry, dense, and the flavour was definitely not to my taste. I'm also not sure what kind of meat was inside the sausage. The bacon was very smoked, made me gag a little. I ended up putting the sausages and bacon in a serviette to take home for the dog. Fortunately the eggs, beans, tomatoes etc tasted normal and was enjoyable. The reason I have scored 2 stars is because, at the end of the day the food is what is most important. And I did not enjoy it, and eat it all. Also, not able to order unsmoked bacon is not good, and not knowing the contents of a sausage was not good either. I was a little bewildered because I have never encountered this before, and I'm 55. I may try this cafe again in the future if I hear changes have been made to the bacon and sausages. 👍👍

Visited for the first time as new to the area, portion sizes are very generous and great value for money. In the picture I attached this is 2 large breakfasts, they allow you to change items if you don’t like certain things, one of the breakfasts we changed mushrooms for a black pudding which was great! The staff are extremely friendly and the service was great, we had sat down for around five minutes and ordered and our food arrived shortly after which was great! I am very impressed with the homemade hash browns they were a lovely touch ! The cafe is very warm which is great in cold weather and has a great atmosphere. Overall very impressed and will be returning 👍

First visit, and after being welcomed by a staff member, my wife and I enjoyed the small and small vegetarian breakfast respectively, accompanied by generous-sized coffees, served in mugs. The cafe was nice and clean, and it being a Saturday morning, Parkrun participants steadily filled the tables as we ate—good to see a small business attract a steady stream of customers. Food was nice and hot, and a staff member checked that all was okay with our meal as we tucked in. No complaints from us, and we look forward to calling again when we’re over from central Suffolk.

Our most recent visit was very disappointing. The food was absolutely awful and the prices were outrageous. £9 for a tiny little breakfast and it was inedible! One tiny piece of bacon that was mostly stringy fat, the vegetarian sausage was out of the freezer and was so hard it was inedible, the hash browns used to be good but now were filled with herbs that made my partner ill and they tasted liked they’d been cooked and reheated 4 or 5 times. Overall a massive decline in service from what I’ve come to expect in recent years. Won’t be visiting here anymore and I can’t recommend it to anyone else either unfortunately - and that decision is solely based on the quality and quantity of food and the price they charge for it. I hope they improve the quality of the food, or lower the prices, maybe invest in better seating, or at the very least create a nice atmosphere, might go a long way to improving some staff attitudes too.

REPLY TO OWNER: thank you for proving my point with your vile and ignorant response regarding the quality of service, and the food too. I’ll be sure to share your thoughts with the community and amend my...

This is a lovely little cafe, we have visited a number of times this year as a group of 6 blokes that work at the port. We often have a big breakfast, the quality of ingredients is very good, and it's great value for money.

The staff are always very friendly, we are always greeted with smiles from all staff and they are very helpful regarding our dietary requirements.

The atmosphere is always nice and we often see the same faces which is always a good sign regarding food establishments. I would happily recommend this cafe to friends & family.

I would also recommend the Kinder Bueno or the Ferrero Rocher cake as it is amazing, you will not be disappointed.

Wheelchair access is via a suitable ramp at the main entrance door. Parking is also very easy as there is a free car park across the road. Overall a great place to have some breakfast or a...
