Visited yesterday as a family of 6 including two adults and 4 children. The location is hard to find, you need to turn left and keep turning left until you are outside it, you will think it's a path for pedestrians but no you keep going and eventually find spaces right outside the window. Our waitress was Sophy, such a lovely person, funny and happy all the way through. The bar is really cool with stylish interior, walls full of bubbles, floor to ceiling glass looking out to sea and nicely dressed tables. An immaculately clean highchair was there as well which is a first. Husband had the lamb shank that fell off the bone, he said it was the best he had ever eaten. I had prawn and crayfish with side salad and chips, onion rings and coleslaw (onion rings were an extra side) and it was well presented, tasty and a good sized portion. Children had sausages, chips and veg, prawn cocktail with caviar (and actually liked it lol), kids meals included a drink and ice cream. Every plate was clean at the end, that's a first for us eating out as the kids usually don't like something. The puddings were the usual run of the mill shop bought stuff so they weren't as good as the main but all in all we loved the vibe, the decor and the effort. Bill was £80 for 2 adult meals, a starter as a main, 2 sides, 2 kids meals and desserts all round. Tables were cleared promptly, nothing was too much trouble and Sophy was lovely to the children as well as us. I feel she's an asset to the company and I hope management see this review There was only one negative and that's the really restricted drinks menu. They only have lemonade or coke, and only one type of cider (strongbow)!!!!

I would like to say that the bar is incredibly well furnished, looks great and had a brilliant atmosphere within it. The food I found very good value and the portion sizes were generous, so much so I couldn't eat it all. It was great to have a steak cooked as requested and not be covered in salt. Food was delivered promptly. That is, unfortunately where the compliments end. I had booked a table for my wife's birthday well ahead of time and had asked on the off chance if there was anything they could do to make the evening a bit more special. Was advised they couldn't but more than happy to put up some balloons and bring out a cake if provided. No issues with that. Issue I do have, is not having our reservation at all and then being made to wait around while a table is found for us. Throughout the evening our waitress continued to ask us "what do you want" when taking our orders. The friendliness and approachability of the staff was awful. The place did say (I say did because I've edited the opening times) it was open until midnight so after we finished our meal, which my wife found incredibly greasy we used the bathrooms (there are cameras in there) and decided to have a coffee. It was roughly just after 10pm at this point. So the staff had to turn on the coffee machine reluctantly as they'd already cleaned it in order to make us our drinks. I asked what time they were open till and was told that they stopped serving food at 1030 so thought we still had a while to relax. Needless to say it was difficult to really enjoy the drinks as the staff were hovering near us and at one point actually started cashing up the tills whilst we were in the restaurant. Very security conscious 🤨 We promptly finished and asked if they could recommend a taxi service, again, it seemed like this was too much to ask. Fortunately my wife and I aren't the type of people to let it affect our evening but if poor service, a no can do attitude and staff who just want to get home on time affect you, then this is not the place to go. Really a shame, because the rest of Lowestoft has been great.

A once-a-year celebration with back-to-back 5* food and service (though not necessarily in that order). All three of us had the lunchtime special with me having all three courses (and a bottle of wine) whilst the ladies had just the main and dessert. It was my first time to ever try "Smoked Salmon" and I was not disappointed. Although the sauce was atop the salmon and I don't remember a lemon wedge, what I did have was MUCH more than expected. The salad garnish had a little bit of everything with a touch of orange, watermelon and pineapple. SOOO summery and perfect! The Mini Mixed Grill is a lie. It is not "mini". :) It is so deliciously filling and the flavour of the ribs and chicken goujons is top notch. Served with chips and peas (and a steak), it was a perfect meal for an afternoon nap. :) All three of us had this and we all struggled to clean our plates. We varied our desserts to try a trio of flavours. The Bailey's Crème Broulee was rich perfectly blended with the shortbread. The Eton Mess and Strawberry Shortcake Waffle didn't disappoint either (though I only got nibbles of each of these). Add to this the friendly ladies serving and there was nothing amiss. Here's looking forward to my return next year!

Thank you for having us as guests in your outstanding restaurant. The food was delicious, a significant degree of care and attention had gone into the cooking and presentation of our food. We were a walk in and a table was made available to us without any quibbles. Elise (I think was the name of the young lady who took care of us) was very polite and made us aware of the full range of menu items on offer. I couldn’t quite believe the portion sizes and the value for money, it was almost too good to be true! The setting was one of a kind, great decor and the indoor lighting only got better as the evening drew in. Thank you to your team for making our of the chance visit a memorable one.

Another place we went with friends for a my birthday meal, not been in a while and as it was central & plenty of parking (after 6pm free in main car park) The staff were very good to us and there was plenty of them this time. The place is done differently inside and pretty cool as the children loved it. The food is on a massive scale & you get so much of it for your money!! Well worth the trip visit if you’re a big eater also smaller plates available too.. The menu is mainly meat yet plenty of other options too. They have high stool and tables so if you wish for a table then book for a table. Another place we will are going back to very soon with other family & friends.
