McDonald's — Restaurant in East Suffolk

Car park was fairly full on Mother’s Day at 20:00 🕗. The drive through looked fairly busy so we went in. Once arrived in the restaurant there was no system in how they serve people.

From arrival to getting the food it was 30 minutes. Asked the cashier can we use the coupon code and pay cash, the cashier got the manager. When asked him, he said no.

He told us when using the McDonalds app the payment method is card only. We were not aware of this.

No fault of the restaurant but people should be aware you can only use the McDonalds app therefore the 20% discount and the 99p offers and pay by card ONLY.

However if you have a £1.99 McDonald’s food for thoughts voucher code you can pay by cash. It doesn’t go through the app.

Payment and order methods are confusing.

In the restaurants there was lots of Uber eat delivery drivers waiting for collection. All the orders seemed to be fulfilled but just slow. The staff were helpful.

We only ordered a fillet of fish burger and fries so they couldn’t get it wrong. The food wasn’t hot.

I am so annoyed that I have gone out my way to write this. (Sorry in advance if gramma is terrible).I used to work at McDonald's and I know the standard of food it should be. I went there today at 1.10am. Started with being told the promotional burger I couldn't have, then I couldn't have a milkshake. So I though...ok this happens. So I ordered a mayo legend meal with fanta, mozzarella sticks and 9 nuggets. I was told there will be a wait which is what I exspected. I don't mind waiting as will be fresh. Once the food came I wasn't given a reseat. When I went to eat my chips they were cold and my mozzarella sticks so bad that I couldn't eat them. They must be hours old.( No lie ) when I rang up the manager I wanted to explain how bad the food was (so hopefully no one else will have the same situation that I had) and get a refund as couldnt eat the food. She started by not even saying sorry but that ALL the food is cooked fresh....basically saying I am a lier. This really annoyed me and I feel she had terrible management skills. UPDATE……… Ive had to update my rating and take it from 2 stars down to 1 star. This place is getting worse. The staff are rude and the food is a joke. The chips are half full, cold to luke warm and floppy. The burgers are luke warm at best and no attention to detail with its contents. You have to open the burger bun and place all the contents in the box back in the burger bun.

This has to be down to be poor management. It's the management thats trains the staff. So I can't blame the normal staff for poor service and food, plus there is a frequent turnover of new staff.

It's pointless making a complaint as all they do is offer you another meal exactly the same standard as before .

I will not be using this place again.
