We booked here well in advance for Valentine's Day and were seated promptly upon arrival.
Service was fantastic and staff very knowledgeable about the food served. Great atmosphere, which was also pleasantly intimate; perfect for a nice meal for 2!
We both ordered the sharing starter, which had a mix of different classic Indian nibbles: Samosa's, Onion Bhaji's, Lamb and Chicken Tikka, along with a refreshing side salad. It was a great way to introduce our taste buds to some excellent Indian Cuisine.
We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, with Special Fried Rice, a Keema Naan, and a side portion of chips for our main. I'd never had a Masala that was a red colour before, but it tasted fantastic. And coupled with the Keema Naan, I couldn't get enough!
The portions were very generous, so the meal did defeat me slightly, but I was able to take our leftovers home with us.
All in all, £70 for a wonderful dining experience, it was well worth the money. We'll definitely be returning in the...
Read moreIt’s a shame to write a review such as this as I loved the food that was served to me. However, the service experience was more than enough to put me off from coming here again. Before being seated, we asked the waiter if it was okay to dine here as it was a little late in the evening. The waiter said it was fine and to take as long as we wanted. We were then seen to by another waiter, who throughout our meal was trying to hurry us along, becoming frustrated when choosing items off the menu, and telling us to hurry along when we ate our food. At the end of the meal, myself and my partner who were sharing a bottle of wine, were told to not order anymore drinks as I looked like “I’d had enough”. This quality of service is unacceptable, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t due to close for another 30 minutes. I seriously would not recommend. Food: Great Service: Shocking Atmosphere: Ruined...
Read moreThe take away was delivered with the cardboard lids separate from the containers and the food leaked into the carrier bag. I rang Spice Den and they were really helpful, saying they would re-deliver the order as soon as they could. I only had a 15/20 minute wait, but it was the same delivery man who was so rude. I asked him to take with him the first order as I didn't see why I should have it in my bin and he shouted "no" and was already half way down the path. I said he needed to take it back so Spice Den could see the state of it in the bag and he stomped back up the path and grabbed it from me. I told him he was being really rude and he said "I said I'd take it back didn't I" - at no point was there an apology. Really bad experience - a shame because the food was great, just need to employ polite people...
