nice environment and fast service, and i would like to give more stars to it, but i am giving it 4 stars because the food, as it could be better, at least for me as I live in London and i have tested much better Chinese food ( i go regularly to Chinatown)- but i feel it is a general attitude in Eastbourne, that i have visited several times now, perhaps a tired town given the average age and perhaps the low demand in quality food that this might entail? i had the impression not everything was fresh, especially the fried rice , which i have ordered in different occasions and it definitely wasn't fresh, the dry rice and dry small pieces of eggs were of a very dark yellow colour, very dry and tasteless. I love east Asian cousine which is my favorite among all countries , so i can compare this to other chinese restaurants or take aways i have been to. I also had barbequed Pork which I always order in Chinese restaurants, once again, it didn't have much of flavour. Don't get me wrong, i would definitely go again, when i am not looking for anything special, but i am sorry they are not using their full potential to enhance the very colourful and tastefull type of food that China is so famous for . But i will come back again ...as Chinese food is...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Haus Chinese Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the crispy duck which was cooked to perfection and served with a side of crispy pancakes and scallions. The flavours were rich and savoury, with a delicate balance of sweet and savoury notes.
The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured that our needs were met throughout the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with a warm and inviting ambiance that made us feel right at home.
I ordered the fish hot pot and every bite was a delight. Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. Haus Chinese Restaurant to anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience. The quality of the food, combined with the excellent service, makes it a must-visit destination for...
Read moreyou never really know what to expect with Mr. House lately. Six years ago was perfect but with time the food is not so good as they constantly change person cooking ? It’s a bit of a shame. Sometimes the food is absolutely amazing, and other times the exact same dishes come out completely different and not so good. For example, yesterday we got some takeaway and the prawn crackers were a mix of old and fresh ones, so some were really mushy. The chicken tasted reheated, almost like it had been used for something else before. It wasn’t the best this time. I really hope they can do better, because it’s a very nice place, but they need to realise you can’t serve food like this. This is a way to loose customers. I was going often in the past but now I am starting to prefer other place where the quality is...
