Not even sure you can put into words just how amazing my experience was here today. The service was phenomenal with very kind, friendly chatty people working in such a happy environment where they seem to be enjoying themselves and having a laugh. They were lovely and helped me choose the best and cheapest breakfast option for how fussy I was being. Made sure I was getting everything I wanted out of my visit and ensured I left ready to fall into a food coma, (barely made it out the door.) The food was cooked to perfection and the chocolate cake is to die for - heavenly in fact. The cafe was very pretty and cosy and the seats were unbelievably comfortable. The price was perfect for the food portions and high standard food they served, maybe even a bit too affordable for the quality in my opinion. Will definitely be having my weekly full English here,...
Read moreOk so I’m not a local, I dropped a car at Honda for a service about a mile away, I asked the guy if there was a cafe locally, he said costa, so he got ignored and we’ll just assume he’s an idiot, so I went exploring, after a walk I find this place, just what I was looking for, an independent cafe, not a greggs, Costa, Starbucks etc, the food was spot on, just what I wanted, but what I like about cafes like this is that the staff know the customers, some by name, that’s awesome in this day and age, most places are dismissive of people. I might have to make this place the default setting for my usual Monday morning cafe stop, it’s a shame for me that it’s 15 miles away, I have options close to me but I might need to drop my dads car at...

Menu's are still laminated sheets with pictures on, like you would find in a greasy spoon, and they still have plastic baskets for sauce and Sarson's vinegar on the tables like a greasy spoon, but these elements feel out of place in what is otherwise quite a nice place to eat. The food is better than the menu's suggest, they cater for some dietary choices, (keto, veggie) but lack alternatives for intolerances or allergies (soy milk, gluten free bread etc.) The local area really lacks a nice place to go for breakfast (think Boston tea party or lounge cafes) and this place is nearly there, but not quite made...
