I've done nearly 80 HONEST reviews on here so please take this as you may. 2 stars is for some minor positives which is all outlined below.
We visited today 23rd February 2023 it was honestly one of the WORST cafes we've ever been too. Very aggressive response by owner can't take criticism.
We went after taking the car for an MOT with a couple of hours to kill I had a prawn salad with a Berry smoothie.
LAYOUT: Convenient little cafe not too overcrowded positioned quite nicely opposite Aldi down a turning off Walton High Street. They've chosen a great location.
SERVICE: They had an incredible young girl serving who looked absolutely petrified of the owner and serving. She was very kind and did her best and if we hadn't had such a bad experience the spare leftover £10 would have gone to her. They only accept cash here. Bear this in mind. There are some near banks you can get money from easily no problem.
The duration of our food was a joke. Coffee for mum came out very swift but a salad and a sandwich took half an hour. She said the coffee was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. It did smell good.
SMOOTHIES: The smoothies are frozen fruit from a supermarket (Probably Aldi opposite). I do respect this however if you wanted to chop and change something like a fruit or veg in it you can't cos it's "premixed". A polite suggestion would be to get all the frozen fruit and veg in bulk and separate for each a container. Alot of other cafes do this. It just shows you going the extra mile. It had added cheap apple juice as well which the majority of it probably was. People might also not like apple juice and might want another juice or water in it. Ask first. NEARLY £5 for a smoothie pre made really? Just no.
PRAWN SALAD: £9.95 for a salad waited half hour for it. Its an open area so you can see the guy making it really trying his best and putting alot of care into it but the prawns were frozen as they were incredibly miniscule. Good size of them but definitely not on. It was surprisingly well presented. Is it worth £9.95? No chance. Maybe 6 or 7 max.
EGG AND BACON SANDWICH: If you still don't believe us after this section of the review it's totally fine but this is the honest truth. It was for mum she asked for egg and bacon and the girl asked if she would like any sauce. Mum requested brown sauce with white bread. So before this comes out you're thinking a nice lofty sandwich with decent and fair amount of bacon, lots of sauce and just something normal you gey in a cafe. This plate comes out and I was very cringed at the site of it. It was clearly cheap bread incredibly small quarters with terrible bacon and there was no sauce and no egg. It was the portion for a kid of under 10. It was shocking. I don't understand how anyone on here has the audacity to say this is lovely. Please go and visit another cafe like Mada Deli for example a cafe in Hampton Court and its proper. I've been to many cafes looking for that fix and this was the worst thing I've ever seen. Guy comes over a bit assertive aggressive of course passionate about the food. It wasn't eaten. Totally inappropriate. She recently lost her partner to cancer and she's had some very rude towards her.
Would we come here again? Definitely not. Never known anything like it. I've had greasy cafes after a night out drinking better than this place. I'd have to be desperate, malnourished or incredibly intoxicated to go there again or take anyone. It was embarrassing. She was still hungry and sadly after being very stressed by the service experience and quality went home after and grilled a bacon and cheese toastie. Very sad.
I don't write reviewed on here like this for forsake. They will offer better value versus say a Carluccios drfinitely but you could go and get a better experience and food quality at McDonald's up to 10:30am which is literally a few hundred yards away. From pictures seen I can see potentially a full English could be decent but if you can't even do the basics of course its not...
Read moreWe only had a few hours to spend in Walton and as we were making our way down Church Street, seeking shelter from the huge rain cloud that was looming over our heads, we spotted the Le Petite Cafe sign. What a stoke of luck 🍀. We were greeted by the owner and his daughter and spent the next hour, drinking the tastiest Chai Latte and eating scrumptious pastry. I wish we would have had time for lunch. Walton holds a special place in my heart as it was the home of my Great Grandparents and birth place of my Grandfather. Le Petite Cafe is a...
Read moreDropped my car off to get its MOT and took the opportunity to get a Full English late breakfast / brunch and a cuppa and came across Le Petit Cafe. Friendly service and good food - the Full English comprised fried egg, sausage, baked beans, choice of hash brown or chips, two rashers of bacon, mushrooms and a couple of slices of toast. All cooked to perfection and washed down with a decent mug of tea. Good 'greasy spoon' café that's now on my radar for future visits to...
