Very busy in restaurant no alcohol as no licence which was ok,ordered food and drinks waited 10 mins only to be told no ice cream for kids shakes surely shouid of been told when ordering. When food arrived wrong dinner for my daughter which she ate then they they forgot the chips we ordered they arrived when we chased it up and turned up when we had all finished our meal. Also no wine glasses you get a beaker to drink your wine as no drinks licence as of yet, still couid provide a wine glasses even when people take they own wine. Table beside us where complaining that she ordered a vegetarian meal only to be told no vegetables very odd???. Staff seemed overwhelmed and maybe couid do with some guidance from a experienced waiter or waitress. Enjoyed a lovely meal here at TexMex. The customer service was amazing, I haven't been treated so well in a restaurant in such a long time, it felt like a treat. The portion sizes were massive, I had a calamari starter - biggest calamari portions I've ever had in a restaurant and a steak salad - big portion again and so flavoursome. I couldnt finish the main so they kindly boxed it up for me to take home. I also tried their guacamole, I'm very particular about guac - TexMex's guacamole is 10/10. All the meals freshly made as well. Everyone on my table was very happy with the portion sizes and the flavours of all the meals. The cocktails were amazing! I highly recommend the peach daiquiri!! "I recently visited the restaurant and was impressed by the lovely ambiance and the margaritas . However, my main course was a letdown. The shredded chicken which was in the chimichanga and taco dish lacked flavor and tasted quite bland, which was disappointing. The service was mostly good, with our server being friendly and attentive. However, when he dropped the cutlery while clearing the table, failed to apologize or acknowledge the mistake. We had to ask to clear the table, which took away from the overall experience. Overall, while the atmosphere and drinks were enjoyable, the food and service inconsistencies brought down my experience.
