The Bombay Social — Restaurant in Elmbridge

This was our first visit to this restaurant on Saturday 16th March 2024 after good reviews however our experience didn't stand up to this. The starter for myself was far too much it was more of a main meal. Three large shish kebab. My partner had the bang bang prawns which were in batter. Completely tasteless hence didn't eat half of them. The main meals lamb & chicken were neither very nice. There is not alot on the menu & not clear what is in them. Only two options for rice which we had neither. Service on clearing the table was slow. The atmosphere was not too bad but the loud music & darkness wasn't appropriate for a restaurant but more like a wine bar. Unfortunately today I have been unwell with a stomach upset which I can only put down to the shish kebab & chicken. We will not be recommending this restaurant & neither visiting again. This definately wasn't value for money at £107 with only two beers, two starters two main meals...

It was my first time visiting, and I went with my girlfriend—we were absolutely blown away! The food was incredible, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The service, the vibe, and the venue itself looked insane, making the whole experience completely worth it. Plus, the prices were very reasonable!

A special shoutout to Bitzu, who served our table. His hospitality and service were next level—I couldn’t have felt more comfortable. He really made the experience even better with his welcoming and professional attitude.

Another great touch was the owner personally going from table to table, checking in with everyone to make sure we were all happy. That level of care made us feel even better and showed how much they value their customers.

Would give it 10 stars if I could!

This place is amazing, don’t let the reviews tell you otherwise! We travel all the way from north London to eat here because it’s one of the best, I’m yet to find a place in London that do it better.

Chef Ranas dishes are on another level and he really puts love into every dish. There’s so much creativity and technique of aroma in his food.

Unlike dishoom/ gymkhana where there’s more spice but not a lot of difference in favour between dishes.

I don’t know another Indian where you have amazing cocktails, romantic ambiance and incredible authentic yet modern dishes!

Also very reasonably priced! Under £200 for 4 people with starters, mains & drinks- which is under valued if you ask me and under cuts everywhere in London where we pay around £350+
