Bamboo House Shrewsbury — Restaurant in England

I have been a regular customer for 22 years. However, they are always rude and today has made me decide to never go there again and write this review.

First, they tried to say i hadn't given them enough money and i had to count it out myself in front of them to prove i had. Then they charged me £4.80 for a curry and chips when it used to cost £2.70. It says on the menu a curry sauce and chips is £4.00 now, but that's only of you get them in the same tray. I prefer to dip my chips on the sauce but for nearly a £1 extra i went for the tray. I assumed that it cost less because you get less but the portion looked exactly the same to me.

For the first time ever the girl behind the counter (who usually treats me like a nuisance) said thank you as i left but the damage was already done. I have worked in the customer service industry for 17 years and know that if you treat customers well, your business will boom! This place has always looked run down and i know why, they refuse to treat their customers like human beings and charging 80p extra for the same thing means they have lost a loyal customer and any new customers that read the many many poor reviews others have left about this place.

I ordered food from here over the phone, during the call I asked for confirmation that the large spring rolls were vegetarian. Unfortunately when it arrived I ate half of the spring roll before realizing that it contained meat. As a vegetarian of 6 years this was was an awful experience. Just moved into the area and as I had nothing to cook on I thought a Chinese would be perfect and just a 2 minute walk away.
