Bar B Q Base — Restaurant in England

Was looking forward to eat at this place so visited yesterday with family and ordered 1 family meal deal. Went upstairs and the tables were not cleaned. The guy comes with food within 5 minutes and keeps it on the table which has leftover food and not cleared or cleaned. We asked him to clear the table so we can sit and eat. He was not a happy worker as got annoyed and cleaned the table. We all seat and started with the wings which were cold, I then took a piece of chicken and that was cold aswell. The food come in 5 minutes so it was sitting to be served and was not fresh. This is my second let down experience at this place. I complained to the owner and he was not a person with gesture to offer any compensation towards offering a hot meal replacement or refund the money. Typical mentality of ignorance and just giving big talks rather then being able to deal and resolving the matter as a business owner. I will not be visiting this place as spoilt my one evening meal which I look forward to with my family. No humanity at all. Very disappointed you may be running a business for years but it does not mean you ignore the consistency of your food and service. This is one of the worst restaurants which I have ever been to (lying staff's about the grilled chicken which has been microwave and not cooked fresh). So here's the story me and my friends decided to go to this restaurant regarding such nice reviews. As we walked in we decided to place an order for family deal 1 which cost us around £23:99 at 10:17 pm. As we sat down upstairs in the dinner hole and the food arrived so early at 10:24 pm. I was so shocked that how come a 2 whole grilled chicken can be cooked so quickly in 8 minutes. As I tear apart, one of the chickens it looked liked it was been microwave and the chicken was so dry. I compiled one of the staff and he called his manager or boss, as he approached me he said "we don't have a microwave in our restaurant" I was like ok but then he told me that "the chicken is been cooked in a charcoal and it takes time to cook at least 45 minutes and we leave it aside so the customers can't keep waiting for the food" I was like okay, I appreciate it. I did not even ate the chicken and took it as a takeaway and gave it to a homeless guy.

I'm very disappointed that I got served a very bad grilled chicken which was "Microwave". The other stuff I had which were so nice the chips, wing, nan...

I have been to this restaurant before and found it a decent place with the staff being very nice. However, today was a different story, its not necessarily the staff members but its honestly the food I received today which was just very disappointing. First of all, it took a solid 50 minutes for our order to be prepared and sure that can be forgiven but the quality of food cannot be because once we got home and actually tried it. The grilled chicken wasn't up to their regular standard and the wings had such a stale taste. But, it wasn't the worst thing we ordered which was the Mongolian Box (£7.99). The only word to describe it would be HORRENDOUS. It was sticky with different sauces that didn't really compliment each other and was just a plain mess. It tasted atrocious as it robbed the natural flavours of the vegetables that were present and even the natural flavour the meat. After ordering that, I honestly have so many doubts about going back to the restaurant especially because it honestly ruined the night for our family who just threw about 3/4 in the bin.
