Excellent, imaginative, tasty and friendly.
Tuckton has needed a good restaurant for so long now. With the recent explosion of the Southbourne and Christchurch food scenes it wasn't going to be long before an enterprising restaurateur saw Tuckton's potential. This place is modern but unpretentious. Simple but rewarding. Friendly but not overpowering. There isn't really a menu as such, just a range of tapas style plates, some hot and some cold. Also, pizzas are available. You just go up to the counter and ask for a bit of everything! It feels a bit odd at first but the staff are extremely helpful and talk you through the range of delights. And they are delights! Tasty, savoury and varied in a really good way. I have to say I felt transported to a foreign country although I can't say where. The influences are Italian, Spanish, Moroccan and elsewhere. In all, for as much food as two people could eat and a nice bottle of white wine our bill was only £45.

Read moreWe stumbled on this little restaurant whilst on holiday in Southbourne. What a find. The tapas were delicious and fairly priced, the service friendly and the atmosphere relaxing. Next door they have a shop that sells their own frozen ready meals for you to take home which I think is a wonderful idea. We are coming back to Southbourne in two months time and we will definitely go back to this little gem.
2nd time at this restaurant and just as nice as the first. These tapas are really first class and some interesting variations on some of the standard tapas that appear in other bars. Some of the more interesting ones we had were pork cheek cannelloni, beef stew with pancetta and harissa and fennel lamb sausage roll. All delicious and even better with a few glasses of house red and beer for my husband.Can...

Myself and 2 friends stopped here on pure chance.
We were cycling towards Southborne after a glorious day on the beach looking to get some dinner. while passing through Tuckton, Beccafico caught our eye and we decided to give it a go.
And I can tell you, We. Were. Not. Disappointed.
The menu was incredibly well priced and varied, with even the added extra of some specials. The lamb Harissa and fennel sausage roll still gives me goosebumps thinking back.
We had a lovely table situated outside, which with the gentle summer breeze still kissing our skin well into the evening was the pièce de résitance.
Our waitress was a perfect host with both her friendly and welcoming demeanor and attentiveness.
The only bad thing was having to leave.
Can't wait for...
