We stayed for 12 nights at Hengistbury Reach and loved every minute of it. The house is prefect; with everything you could think of. I saw it being described as a āhome away from homeā on a review prior to booking and I couldnāt agree more. The location is great. We walked, caught buses and drove to get to different sights. The beaches are fab and weāre now wondering why we havenāt visited the area sooner. We were a family of 4, with two under 5s and a dog. The house and garden are both child and dog friendly. Ginny couldnāt be more helpfulā¦especially when we were en route and realised weād forgotten our dogs medication-thank you for helping us solve for this! We did a combination of eating out and cooking at home; the kitchen is great with everything you need and the local restaurant suggestions didnāt disappoint. A lot of family friendly options too; where the kids were given colouring activities, which was brilliant! The hot tub was a lovely treat, along with the amazing cake on arrival. You wonāt be disappointed if you choose Hengistbury Reach as your next holiday...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful stay! We have just returned from 10 fabulous days at Hengistbury Reach. The house is so well equipped with a well stocked kitchen We had a BBQ using the gas BBQ on the patio and used the lovely hot tub every day. Beds were comfortable and the area was quiet with easy walks to the river front and local high street. Our dog loved all the walks to Hengistbury Head and Southbourne beach that you can do straight from the front door. We had lovely weather and we swam in the sea and ate at the local beach cafes. There are also some good restaurants nearby such as The Riverside, The Boathouse, Roots, James and White, and The Jetty in Mudeford. The owners are really lovely people and easy to contact, and helpful. I don't really want to say any more nice things as otherwise I'll never get booked ...

It contained everything we needed (like home from home), the little touches- homemade cake, welcome box made you feel welcomed. The hot tub was very clean and warm enough for us to enjoy from the time we arrived. Plenty of information available within the property for things to do and see. We followed the instructions to Hengistbury Head and found it very easy, to find, the views were stunning. We also walked the nature reserve great place for the dogs especially, if they like to get wet (only thing I would say it make sure you wear welly boots, I didn't and my trainers were soaked). We plan on going back in the...
