We have been several times but never again! We ordered a pint of lager and half a pint of cider with the cider being in a pint glass with ice. I paid, thinking it was expensive, but as I didn't know the cider, I assumed it was a special or strong one. This can happen. When I got more drinks, I had a pint of lager and just a half of cider. This time, the drinks were £3 cheaper, meaning I had clearly been charged for 2 pints before, or £3 for a glass of ice. I questioned this and received the following answer, "I can't remember what you had and have had 50 customers since then, so there is nothing I can do about it." The till is not itemised, so no chance there! This was complete BS as only a handful of people had been served in between as it was not busy. I know that I should have questioned it at the time, but I just wanted to make people aware of the extremely poor customer service at this pub. Absolutely no acceptance that the landlady could be wrong and the customer right.
Be very careful if you go in here, and as other reviewers say, expect no help or politeness if anything goes wrong. I was caught once. There will never be a...
Read moreMe and my family went there today and it went really well at first! We saw a fire pit with NO SIGN that said you weren't able to light it and there was also a fire blanket nearby and my brother loves camping so decided to light the fire for us. Soon after one of the workers said we werent allowed and we apologised and she was really lovely and apologised for the misunderstanding. The guy who works there in the Liverpool shirt however had a nasty, horrible attitude towards us and we couldnt even buy another drink because we knew it was going into that guys paycheck. Clearly he was upset about Crystal Palace beating Liverpool and decided to take his grumpy, nasty attitude out on some lovely people who just didnt realise they couldnt light the fire. If you were worried about health and safety, LOCK UP THE FIREPIT IN THE FIRST PLACE (and i suggest also putting that...

I was actually looking for somewhere that served food “ we had not walked through this pub at all, he was very rude and abrupt , needless to say we won’t bother going in this pub again, I’m not surprised the pub was empty, this chap needs training in customer...
