I wish there was a option to choose "0" as the review score. One of the most mis-managed restaurants. We were on 10 people on a family holiday in Isle of Wight (the group included 2 adults who were 70+ and three kids less than 3 yes). I called to book table for 10 people for dinner and I was told all booking is done and was suggested to come over. On arriving at the restaurant we were told that they were very busy and that the wait time after ordering was 45 mins. We accepted that though we were not happy. We were asked to wait in the lobby to be given a seat. After 30 mins of wait, we were told they won’t be able to serve us as they got more busier. The team that is supposed to manage had zero control on orders coming in, booking etc. The guy at the counter accepted that he was the one who took the booking talking to be on the phone, but still could not honour the booking. Never seen a restaurant turn away people after confirming a booking, even after seeing that we had kids and 2 senior citizens. A bunch of jokers managing this place. Better to avoid...
Read moreHad been to this place today runned by Bangladesh management (not Indian) with great expectations, but had to walk away by paying the bill of the food & drinks that we had ordered initially, when we were told that we had to order everything just once together and we could not order anything else again. The restaurant was totally empty, and the couple of dishes we ordered was horrible, and not fresh. We being true Indians and from London, will never recommend this place. Imagine going to a restaurant and you have to dine with a condition that you must order your whole meal & drinks just once and for all? Isn't it ridiculous? We went to Nabab take away and the food and service was excellent, because they were a true autentic Indian restaurant and...
Read moreOn the last night of our holiday, we visited Bengal Palace. A lovely Indian restaurant, formerly a pub. The wonderful aroma of good food hits you as you walk in. There is a pool table to keep you amused while you are waiting for your food, the kids enjoyed having a game. Our food was delicious, hot on arrival and portions very generous. Chicken tikka was cooked to perfection and the flavour was spot on. They do take away and delivery service which seemed to be busy. Its lovely to eat in though. The restaurant is very clean, I'd love to sit by the wood burner in colder times, very cosy I would imagine. Toilets lively and clean and well stocked. Service professional and friendly. Go and try it. You will not be...
