The cinema was great, comfortable seats, nice big screen and great surround sound. However, the parking experience was godawful. The small car park out the front only had 3 hours maximum (shorter than some movies) and the larger car park over the bridge was full, and so badly laid out that it was a jam to get in, look for a non existent space and a jam to get out. This combined with the rest of the town's parking being laughably bad meant that I dropped the rest of the family off to watch the movie, spent 30 minutes to find a space in a 90 minute car park elsewhere, and then missed the end of the film. To sum it up, a great cinema experience ruined by a woeful parking situation. Next time I'll go to the vintage cinema in Ryde. Although it's a seaside town it has better parking. Words really don't do justice to my feelings on the parking in...
Read moreTook my daughter for her first cinema viewing to watch the good dinosaur we went for the reduced price children's showing so really cheap I think around £1.58 each, the only downsides were having to pay for parking but I am a bit of a tight wad lol and also the price of the drinks and snacks, I was persuaded by the staff to go large on my coke but I didn't quite realise how large they were so most of the drink was wasted, we bought one bag of sweets and the drink and it was over £6.00 which is just crazy, I won't bother with the food bar next time. Cinema was clean staff helpful and would go again. The only other thing that I thought was a bit off and so did the lady in front of me was a bit of a scary advert prior to the film my 3 year old certainly wasn't impressed and neither was the approx 7 year old...
Read moreAlways clean with the heating or air con just right. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable and I always enjoy a chat about the latest movies if they are not busy. The review dropped a star because there is no organisation when they are busy. I would like to see a queuing system where the front of the queue peels off to the next available till. It's a free for all at the moment. When a new till opens up, people run from the back and sometimes you think you are nearly there and the people in front order a three course meal of hot dogs, nachos, hot drinks, you get the idea. Having worked in London recently, the general etiquette of the Island cinema goer is much better. There is significantly less mobiles phones being played with, needless chatter and all the...
