Big Bite Sandwich Bar — Restaurant in England

Needed to grab some lunch in-between jobs. I used to go here many years ago when I worked in York and as I was passing I thought, perfect!

I think the owner might have changed since then, but the food was just as nice.

It looks like a little greasy spoon type of takeaway, but that's all part of the charm.

I was served by a mature lady. She seemed very nice and offered me options to add to my sandwich, which I hadn't seen on the menu board.

I just chose a regular pulled beef in ale gravy sandwich. When I opened it, I thought I should have gone for the bigger one, but in actual fact, it was just right. I'd have been pogged if I'd had more.

I also grabbed a cold drink from the fridge, too to keep hydrated. They had a good selection of drinks choices. They also had sides such as crisps, but I didn't get those.

Yeah, it's definitely worth going back if I'm ever in the area. The large butties are as big as your head, so it's worth saving up your hunger for a breakfast one!

Good prices and seems quite popular as there was a steady queue from the locals, I'm guessing, as they were on foot. There's no official parking area, just on the street parking. When the traffic is busy, it's a little difficult to pull out, but I found it easy to pull up...

Not been in for a few years due to living near Selby but came in today to get me and my wife a pork sandwich on the way to the hospital due to our son been in. I can honestly say that this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in years, maybe not a bad thing living further away as I’d be in here every day and would be skint! Had a good chat with the owner and staff while waiting for the pork to finish cooking and would just say that they are so down to earth and friendly which makes a nice change as you don’t get this in many places. Overall I will be making another visit hopefully very soon and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting decent...

I recently visited Big Bite a local sandwich bar, and it was fantastic! I ordered their Baby’s Leg and it was piled high with succulent, rich meat

What impressed me most was the quality of the ingredients. Everything tasted super fresh, and you could tell they didn't skimp on anything. The staff was also really friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better.

If you're looking for a top-notch sandwich, Big Bite is definitely worth a visit. It's a cut above your average...
