The Cafe Next Door — Restaurant in Great Britain

Lee is an unbelievably friendly and welcoming host host whose family run business shows the love with the excellent atmosphere and 11/10 quality of food. I came with my partner on a Saturday and they were full, we waited outside for a table due to the popularity but it was 100% worth the wait. We waited around 5-10 mins before being seated and instantly greeted and made to feel at home. Me and my partner ordered a cappuccino which arrived quickly and tasted brilliant, the size and taste was worth the price which compared to other places in York is relatively cheaper! We both ordered the eggs Benedict which without exaggeration was the best one we’ve eaten, the combination of the taste and the love that clearly gets portrayed in the food makes it an amazing eat for a fantastic price. Sorry, I had eaten the most wonderful Eggs Benedict before I thought to photograph it. I've had quite a few, but surpassed them all. Eggs poached to perfection. Yummy sauce and I had amazing crispy bacon all on top of a delicious slice of sourdough. All sourced as locally as possible. The coffee was excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. I mention the allergy I have. I was thrilled they understood allergies and work to get the best produce for any type of dietary requirement. Came across this new cafe while walking by. Because it’s small there was a small queue outside, the lady owner came out to us and explained we wouldn’t have long to wait or if we were happy to we could eat in the take away part next door.
