Boswells — Restaurant in England

I don’t usually leave reviews but my experience today has made me want to write one. I’ll start by saying the food, drinks and atmosphere in this cafe is lovely. However, I encountered quite possibly the rudest member of staff I have ever met here today. I am a psychologist who works with children and we took them out for a drink here. One of them knocked over thechocolate which went all over the floor. I wiped up most of it but went to inform a member of staff of the spillage before we left. My colleague approached a member of staff (female, about 5 ft 6, brown hair, early 50’s) of the spillage. My colleague spoke directly to this person and told her about the spillage. In response, this member of staff didn’t even look at her, nor acknowledge that she had even spoken. She just walked right in ahead to deliver a sandwhich to another customer. We found this behaviour a bit strange but decided she mustn’t have heard. Due to this, we told another staff member of the spillage, but as we were talking, the first member of staff (the one who ignored us) came up and said ‘I already know, you just told me’. I went in to the Yate Boswells for a takeaway drink with my mum. Then women called Emma didn’t even make it eye contact with us and hen ordering all her hair was down all over he face. She even said to my mum that she couldn’t have a lemonade as they run out but Another customer had one! Then she said I can’t have the fish and chips which I like before I do an evening shift. She was so rude!! Then I asked for mr discount as I work on the shopping centre! Belero and she said that she as on the shopping centre!! I really think you need to get better staff and it’s manners, I’m appalled with this service I’m usually a regular but never again!

When Emma hair was down she was dealing with food basic Hygiene to keep up...

Cheapish and possibly cheerful but as l was with my friend (Warning now) namecheck inbound👍..........the singer Jessie,check her out😉😊 l was more interested in the conversation.Anyway! the coffee was drinkable,can't say that about everywhere,a very extensive menu,looks very clean and well run.l have been before,will go again,my only concern is it's definitely a place to visit with a friend not alone.l saw many happy or at least contented patrons enjoying their lattes or whatever but no singles,maybe a bit too expansive and pen for singletons.Only my opinion,as with other places l visit.......give it a...
