Lawns — Restaurant in England

A week before Christmas I called the lawns after 7th time in same day I got an answer .I asked are you open of JUST drinks of Christmas Day . A young lady answered the call . And I heard them talking in back. Either knew the answer . Or what time they were opening . But I was told definitely open for just Drink . My wife and I walk over around 12 ISH on Christmas and it was open . Great . We went straight to the bar . Order our drinks . No happy Christmas from the guy behind the bar to be honest he was rude .no Christmas cheer no Christmas music's . I ask where we could sit . In he's words upstairs . So up stairs we went. Vacuum cleaner still left on landing . A young girl ask if take out small table away . It was cold . . To be honest is was bad . It was unbelievable a joke . Service warm welcome . The table upstairs . Vacuum still laying across the floor Will never recommend this pub to friends or family . And I would be very surprised if this massages get read . Or even acted on . I will get a reply of. Will unstaffed or it was Christmas . Not good enough. Maybe I get a...

Had a shocking experience at the lawns today on fathers day, heard they serve good food but our experience was terrible. Firstly they brought my daughters food out on its own and the rest of us waited and waited. When we asked we had a response of " well nachos are on starters on our till and you didn't tell us" when in the menu its under sharing not starters. Also when receiving my burger I noticed the colour, grey on the outside and pink in the middle. No way a chef of any calibre cooked or checked that as you can see in the pics. Added to this my wife's roast came out with a carrot with plastic netting still attached. So I asked see the manager and I was told you will have to come to him at the bar or wait. When he arrived at our table he wasn't at all apologetic, so I asked for a full refund and we will eat somewhere else and the reply was "ok" and he disappeared. There were a lot of young and new staff who didn't know what to do or even know how to work the till to receive our refund. Won't be going...

Would give it no stars if I could!! Absolutely appalling customer service!!! Don't waste your time going here!!! No wonder they have vouchers through the post for 30% off! Treated customers poorly!

Waited at the till to be served - was rude to the customer in front of me who was elderly with a walking stick! We asked if it was the till to order food or is there another till to order food and got told 'wait a minute I'm dealing with a customer! You can wait here because the other till isn't working!' Whilst I was waiting the lady came out with the food for another customer and told me 'theyre not serving food for another hour because the chef is going on a break' what a absolute joke! Whilst we walked out we looked at some people at the till, which they told us was closed, and they were ordering food after us!!!

Used to be nice many years ago and can see why it is never busy!!! Will not be returning!!! You can keep...
