I ate at the outside seating area and was served my £10 breakfast in a polystyrene tray with wooden utensils. Hash browns were soggy, toast was soggy, scrambled egg was a pale yellow pate, but the sausages were good. Came away with an overbearing taste of salt. Others who came later were eating from plated meals with metal cutlery. The waitress asked if my meal was ok and I asked why I'd been given a poly tray, she said she thought I wanted a takeaway. I'd already spoken with the same waitress and asked if I should order from the table or from the counter so I cant imagine why she thought i wanted a takeaway, and shouldve asked when i ordered the food anyway. Even Macdonalds would do that. I was offered an apology and a nice day. Nice location that I walked 10 minutes out of the town for due to their good ratings.

This is a stopping place on one of our regular morning walks. We have a choice between sitting inside a purpose built room, which has a separate area for people and their dogs, or outdoors. We always enjoy the excellent (and generous) portions of food and drink served by the always cheerful people who work at this café. The place is geared towards walkers and dog walkers to the extent that if there are any sausages left over from the previous day, they will be wrapped in foil and left on the counter for dog owning customers to give one to their pet while they enjoy an excellent meal themselves.

I had a bacon and egg sandwich with malted bread and cup of black coffee my two companions had toast and coffee the total came to £12. great value as the food was good and the coffee strong and hot. Add in table service as its Covid time ,and it made a great start to a beautiful sunny Sunday morning We followed it up with a walk around the park which is very well maintained and litter free. Everyone seemed to be using the rubbish bins. First visit for 30years.Very impressed.

Not a man's best friend... We decided to try somewhere new for a Sunday breakfast. Everything seemed positive about this place so fine, we jumped in the car. We found our seats in the dining area & were greeted by pleasant waiting staff. We were happy with what was on offer & the prices were very reasonable. Our order was taken then..it all changed. Now I'm all for this "dog friendly" phase that has started but, when the eating area only has around 8 tables in maximum 30 x 20 feet room, I don't agree with it being open to canines. In walked a couple with 2 little, yappy dogs that never shut up. They were unruly & left mud all over the floor. Oh & they were both wet & stunk. By this point, I had already had enough & I had not received my breakfast yet!!! I have no complaints about our food or drinks but, I rushed my food to get away from the yapping & the smell. At the time of leaving, there were 6 dogs in there barking, yapping shaking their hair all round people trying to eat. I was glad to get out...Sorry but, we will not be returning.....
