Bus Stop Cafe — Restaurant in England

I went with my daughter and grandson, my daughter was in an electric chair so at first we had a piece of wood to get over ( put down over the doorway as there were a few wheel chairs/ mobility scooters in and out .) It was moving and tricky as not a fixed ramp just a bit of wood balanced . Once inside we checked out the menus and boards around the cafe . My go to meal is gammon and after seeing gammon roast dinner we all made our choices. Enough room around some of the tables to maneuver the wheel chair to get to a spacious basic loo for my daughter . When food arrived it looked ok but I was not pleased to find my gammon roast at £7.99 was a thin slice of supermarket packet ham . Looked and tasted like it . My daughter's veggie breakfast wasn't veggie , it just didn't have meat ( no veggie sausage etc .) My grandsons burger and chips was a very dry burger on a dry bread bun . Add a tea ,a coffee and a glass milk for £24 .40 it was definitely not worth the money. When I went to pay the bill the girls were all too busy chit chatting to take my money .( Pot washer saw me and stood listening to the others instead of getting their attention for me . Would NOT recommend, first time visiting this cafe for several years. When entering the atmosphere was very off putting it was freezing and the quality of the food was poor considering the amount we paid. The customer service was poor and there is no signs or courtesy to say they don't accept cared. Instead they tell you after we have probably got food poisoning and was rude when we said we don't carry cash and made us feel like a thief. This is a spacious cage with quite a large menu. The inside is nice and cleam although the chair legs and menus are a bit tatty. Other than that it serves good value food. Eife said the tea was good proper stuff and my americano coffee was nice and strong. 2 drinks and 2 jacket dpuds with cheese and tuna for under s tenner, not bad at all. Will try again another time and have something different. There's cold drink fridge, slush and ice cream machines and a couple of baby high chairs. Rated 5...
