Del Gelato — Restaurant in England

Very disappointing, which is a shame as me and my family love Del Gelato. The table was dirty when we first came in, we got baby waffles and a cookie dough all for £18 which is quite expensive for what we got. We ordered tap water and it came warm, i know it’s free but we sent it back and still got warm water but the waiter was happy to change it and explained they had no ice. we received our waffles and cookie dough in a good time, so we weren’t waiting very long. Though when we cut into the waffles it fell in two, which i think is poor quality for the price, almost like it got stuck to the waffle machine and was placed ontop. Though i have to say, the ice cream never lets us down, it still is amazing! Our first visit to Del Gelato this afternoon. Not exactly ice cream weather but it's definitely worth a visit for the lovely coffee and other desserts available. Great customer service from the young woman serving today. Very clean place. And big! Plenty of seating (bench style built-in and chairs) and a lovely corner, which would be a great place for meeting up with a party of friends. Not busy this afternoon but I'm told it's a busy spot in the summer months. The variety of ice cream available is huge. Served in a cone or a dish. Cheesecakes and other desserts available. Absolutely shocking service. Been a few times in the past with no issue, however visited today and the staff were flat out rude - especially the guy on the till. No manners, no smile and doesn't even know the menu.

Not a massive issue, but they've had new menu's printed since we last visited. It's extremely hard to read - lots of typos and very very poorly layed out.

The gelato itself was really good. The Mocha came and we had to ask for it to be changed - was nothing like a mocha and the waitress explained thats just how they make it there (tasted like a caramel latte, no chocolate at all).

Atmosphere could do with just some background music, felt like you shouldn't be sitting in there. Not welcoming at all.
