I'm disgusted with tonight's performance. I ordered and was told it would be 40 minutes for collection. 40 minutes later I was there to receive my food. I was stood in there a good few minutes before I was even acknowledged, I gave my name and was told my order was being bagged up. Bearing in mind It's November and I'm stood in a restaurant in a big jacket and a woolly hat. After ten minutes of watching the kitchen door every time it opened I thought it may be time to sit down. I felt uncomfortable stood in a restaurant of all places dressed like I was while people dined. After five more minutes sat down watching the kitchen door I started to feel the sweat running down my back but I thought it can't be long now, surely. Another five minutes passed and I couldn't bear it anymore, I was beyond stripping some layers off by that point so I told the staff I'd be outside; they asked if I was in a car, I said yes and they told me they'd bring it out to me. Great I though. So I joined my partner in the car who was at this point shivering as the car had cooled off substantially. I started the engine to warm the car and we waited, and waited, and waited. Another 15 minutes passed and I though to hell with this, I walked back in, demanded my money back and went to KFC.
If you take the care to read your reviews Maharajah, take some advice. It's clear you messed my order up, these things happen, it's no big deal. Had I known you were going to keep me waiting so long I would have invited my partner in, we would have had a drink and waited contently instead of sitting there uncomfortably warm watching that kitchen door open and close over and over. Tonight wound me up to the point I will never use your restaurant/takeaway again. It didn't feel like you gave a damn about me, or the people I was overshadowing whilst stood like a loose part in the restaurant. In business timing is a big advantage, good food in your case is another good thing to have but customer service is paramount. You would be very surprised what errors you can get over by empathising with your customers and communicating with them rather than leaving them standing expecting their food any minute until you're ready to serve it up.
Disgusting and in a competitive market such as yours I would be very worried because this is all it takes to lose a valuable customer. We went straight to KFC and within 15 minutes we were home with a huge boneless box and it saved us £9. I wish I'd gone...

Every dish on the table looked incredibly appealing. I decided to try the korai, a dish I rarely come across. Ordering it brought back some memories for me. Back when I was younger, my family occasionally visited Maharajah. My dad always raved about their korai, claiming it was the best curry dish he had ever tasted. I can't argue with that sentiment!
The service was great, and the staff was very friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. They even took a few minutes to chat with us and get to know us better.
During my visit, I noticed a regular customer coming in to collect their order. It was evident that the staff knew them by name, which showcased a nice customer-business relationship.
The only minor issue I encountered was the absence of hot towels after the meal. It would have been a nice touch to have something to clean the naan bread residue...
