The place told me they were behind because of a delivery problem So the delivery took a bit longer then advertised When I did receive the order the box was slightly moist as if its been sat on the side waiting for the driver At best their was a slight heat to the pizza and I mean slight it was more or less stone cold Called up the restaurant to be told that they are contacting their manager and will send me a replacement and I asked them would you like it back or shall I throw the pizza in the bin they told me i can do either thing as I'll get a replacement regardless so I binned it I waited a further 1 hour called them back to be told the manager said no and that the just eat driver said it came piping hot with steam coming out of it This wasn't the case at all the box was flimsy you could tell by looking at it that it's been sat there for sometime plus I have a doorbell camera which also proves their wasn't any steam at all I didn't appreciate the driver telling the lie I have just got off the phone with a manager who told me they will not be replacing the order because I have binned it I explained that the staff member told me I could do either bin or keep it so its the staff members problem not mine i would understand if i had eaten half the pizza but i haven't i even offered to get it all out the bin and give it back the staff need more training on situations like this as the staff member could of advised me to not bin it and i would of happily waited for the replacement and gave it back Not going to be ordering from here ever again ive always ordered with these guys wont be doing it anymore
update: head office gave me a free xxl to say sorry my plan was to use the free xxl to make up for what happened and never use papa johns again the order went through but it was under the minimum order value so they cancelled it i called up asking what happened the lady i spoke to refused to do the order even if i re order above the min order value she still argued with me i stated that im recording the phone call to show to head office at that point the lady i spoke to changed her attitude and became quite angry towards me and stated i cant record the phone call if she did some easy google searches she would find that i actually can after she found out i was recording she then stated she would have to ask her manager if they will accept the code considering whats been happening he was clearly going to say no but its strange that she offered to ask the manager when i was recording i didint appreciate this at all i have sent the video to head office i tried ordering to the other papa johns in hull but once i ordered i noticed it forces it to the holderness road store a little bit awkward but they accepted the order and delivered it the pizza came hot but it was shoved to one side like its been sat sideways in the car but never mind the topping were intact and it was hot thats all i was bothered about everything else was fine but still todays phone call has solidified my decision...

Papa John's Hull - Holderness Road - Your order - 52724539. I placed this order 21.8.21
We've used this branch of Papa John's for a considerable time, we can be described as loyal with a monthly order.
This order arrived late and tepid, of which I left feedback on the survey requested of me.
22.8.21 upon attempting to reheat The Works pizza we found an incredibly sharp piece of plastic (looks a lot like the top of a plastic wrapper) baked within the pizza. Please see pics attached.
Rung store immediately on 22.8.21 and upon asking for a Manager was told I'd get a call back.
Tonight, 24.8.21 I rung back as heard nothing. Greeted by The Manager, Lo.
Explained what I found, sent pics over to him by email, was left distraught by his reaction.
Token gesture made, accompanied by an overwhelmingly feeling that I'd planted the plastic has left me absolutely shocked by the handling of my concern.

Read moreIt's been a while since I ordered from papas Holderness road. It shut down for a while and reopened again - I believe under new management? Previously we used to get food delivered within 30 mins of ordering as we live a mile away.
Tonight I ordered at 5.55 and got a notification on the app at 6.17 that it was being cut and ready to go out for delivery.....
At 6.55 I rang to see where my food was as the app hadn't updated, and an angry sounding foreign bloke answered and told me yeah I've only got one driver and we're busy so it'll be 10 minutes late! Then put the phone down, no apology.
I rang again at 7.15 to ask again, and another more desperate and apologetic foreign guy told me 10 more minutes.... told him I'd already heard that 20 mins ago, so cancel the order and I'll go elsewhere!
App still says ready to go for delivery BTW.
I'll be raising a chargeback with my bank and never using...
