I was recommended this amazing cafe, BRB, by another cafe owner in Market Street.

As for BRB, Sarah and her team manages this cafe with meeting room facilities (including overhead projector if needed), and with lovely breakfast and lunch options at very reasonable prices. Although they had sold out the soup of the day, they were very helpful by offering to cook a mushroom soup for me. I can't thank them enough as it was a cold day and a hot soup was really good in warming me up. The food was all freshly made and delicious. The lemon cheesecake was yummy.

More importantly is their level of excellent customer service which was above expectations. So although I was alone, I felt comfortable. The cafe is snug and cozy, and there are donated books that you could read and take away with you (for free), or bring some to exchange if you want. I find BRB is a beautiful concept by Sarah. Whether you need a venue for corporate meetings, or a private room for counselling in an informal setting, or if you are a lone traveller, or having tea by yourself, you'll be much welcome as they will chat with you when they have the chance to do so. Popped in after visiting Sewing Affairs.. and found myself asking "What is happening in Oakengates?" Another absolute gem of a place. Visited on 14th November following a recommendation from staff at King's down the road. Friendly owner who served a pot of tea for 3 in beautiful China teapot and cups. Two excellent small breakfasts and a toasted cheese and onion sandwich with a very fresh mixed leaf salad. Made to feel so welcome by the charming and friendly owner.
