Cafe Ascari — Restaurant in England

Food was fine, but the way an accidental hot coffee spill on my lap by a member of staff was handled, was far from professional.

A glass mug shattered when plates were collected, with very warm coffee soaking my trousers, which I pointed out. Staff ignored this and were more focused on clearing up the floor. We were apologised to and my coffee replaced, and we were asked if we wanted a pudding, being told that "it was the least that I could do" - we assumed that it was gifted, but after being served, we were told to "don't forget to pay for it on your way out" - when we went to pay, the lad behind the till said we'd paid, but the waitress told him quite loudly that we hadn't and that they have to pay for some puddings. The whole situation was very embarrassing, with everyone watching us, and I had to walk around town afterwards with a wet lap. I thought they could have handled the situation much better, and we could have left much happier, rather...

Lovely little Italian named family run business who do a mean 10/10 breakfast.

I was very pleased with my experience here and I cannot recommend it enough.

Probably the best all day breakfast I have had in a long long time. The last good breakfast that may come close is on lake windmere at ambleside cafe. Other than that this probably trumps most of the all day breakfasts I’ve had in my life 10/10 super.

Super nice friendly staff too and hard working good honest people.

A true hidden gem that serves a delicious full english breakfast. Every bite is insanely good and the taste of the food leaves no doubt the ingredients are of a good quality. The scrambled eggs are mouthwatering and I'm always left wondering how they make them taste so good! Customer service is super friendly and we had our food within 10 mins. Serving the perfect portions and a delicious cake selection, Cafe Ascari has become our local favorite and we would recommend to everyone. You know you are in a good cafe when there is a steady stream of people coming in and out through the door . It is difficult to get signal and the seating areas are quite close to each other but this does not spoil...
