As I sauntered into Hereford on a day reminiscent of Noah's lesser-known 41st day at sea, I was in dire need of culinary comfort to combat the cold dribbles running down my spine. Nestled amidst the droplets, Hereford burgeoned as a beefy bastion against the relentless rain. My ensemble and I were greeted by the warm wafts of grilled goodness, a welcome contrast to the soggy scenario outside.
Upon ordering, I could almost hear the cows moo in approval or perhaps it was just the sizzle of the grill singing away the rainy day blues. The burger, a towering testament to tastiness, was delivered with a side of chuckles by a server whose wit was as sharp as the knives slicing through succulent beef. Each bite was a jovial jaunt into juicy jubilation, making us forget the gloomy grey skies temporarily. The fries with much of the loaded court jesters to the royal burger, played their part in adding a kick to the otherwise damp day.
As we exited, the rain seemed to have lightened up, or maybe it was just the joyful jaunt through Hereford’s humorous haven that had brightened our spirits. Rain or shine, Hereford is a delightful detour into the deliciously absurd, a true carnivorous carnival amidst the city’s often too serious sustenance scene.

Read moreCame here with my parents, my brother, his wife & daughter (6 adults & a 3 year old in total) I got the chicken loaded fries, vegan katsu burger and a chocolate shake with Irish cream. For what the prices are I expected things to be more luxurious, but I guess rustic being more popular now, you pay more for it. The ideas for the dishes were great, but the execution of it was average. The sweet potato patty should have been double panéed (for Katsu standards this wasn't crispy,) the 'berry ketchup' just tasted like jam with a sauce consistency. There was an aweful lot of mixed salad in my burger lol. The chickenon my chips had a LOT of batter on it. My chips were covered in gravy (which I didn't mind,) but having all that mayo squirted on top, there becomes a bad sauce to chip ration. The milkshake came in a Sundae glass which to me, didn't fit, as I often associate shakes in those glasses as cheap and common, not unique. I will say this, the sauce that was in my burger was nice, and my brother loved the wasabi mayo, it wasn't overpowering but had a nice mild flavour, he loved it.
In conclusion, the prices we paid for everything, wasn't worth what we got. I don't think I'd...

i really enjoy a good hamburger so really enjoyed the burger i ordered with extra bacon. The service was good and the food was hot and delicious. Somehow the bun doesnt disintegrate as it soaks up the delicious burger sauce and juices. the rosemary chips were nice too. i thought the price was fair and i left with a big smile on my face, ready to face rest of day. will definitely return again.
oh and one more thing yes burger shop is better than beefy boys (who used to have edge but now dont think so. the burgers are served pink well done they'd be tough rare they'd be not at their best.
