Cafe Bar 21 — Restaurant in England

Thank you for responding to my review. Just to clarify, during the course of ordering our food at least three references were made to my need for a gf meal. I did query the province of the beans when I paid the bill - only to find out they were not gf. In fairness to your waitress she was mortified when she returned from the kitchen to tell me this. Surely, your chef should have thought to check the beans having been told that I was gf and to give my sausage to my husband? Fortunately by comparison to others with celiac disease my reactions are uncomfortable but not life threatening - as in some suffers this would have triggered a much more serious situation.

Your staff need training on food allergies ! Told waitress I had celiac disease, even requested breakfast sausage was given to husband as not gf. Served beans, which I later discovered had gluten and wheat flour in them - poison to my system. I will have 24 hours of bloating, nausea, tummy cramps, and violent tummy upset but other sufferers may have even more severe reactions. Foods allergies are not something to pay lip service...

Minehead bar on the High Street. Sitting amongst several bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes, this venue offers an excellent outside venue for drinks and food. Step inside and you are greeted by a tastefully decorated and unassuming venue that surprises on several levels. It's difficult to realise it's size until you go right in. The interior is well designed and comfortable and goes on, and on, to an exterior, partially covered and large enough to house several pool tables, an external bar, bbq and toilets. We had breakfast (served until 12 noon), and a cappuccino to follow. Music and videos played without overpowering the atmosphere. Staff were friendly and service excellent. Menu extensive and we would happily return on our next visit for lunch, dinner or an evening of drinks. Well...

On a day trip that day. After looking for somewhere to eat lunch Found this place. It was so unusual inside. the bar, ceiling, all felt n looked very clean The chairs upholstered with lovely colours. Comfortable n homely look. Just loved everything about it. After 5mins or so we had our order taken MY friend had battered cod n l had the scampi. We noticed some of our friends from the coach were on big table. On the otherside of the room. Well we enjoyed our meals. We had a check from an assistant to see if our meals were ok. We gave dessert a miss we were too full. If another trip to Minehead. We will be returning to...
