This Nero branch runs out of cups, spoons & cream on a daily basis. They rarely want to wash up or order sufficient quantity of ingredients. Staff are also quite rude & instead of telling customers before paying that they ran out, they just serve things like hot chocolate without cream- but charge full price & then get angry with customers for not wanting it without cream. It’s a fairly basic ingredient 😂 One would expect management to learn & adapt to demand but Instead of ordering enough, they continue ordering too little & just run out on a daily basis. There’s no other Nero branch quite like it. I have given up coming here & go to other places now… UPDATE: To be fair to this branch I visited a fifth time a few months later- hoping they had changed - but nope. No where else runs out of key ingredients so why can’t the manager of this branch cope? Furthermore, staff neglected to replace their light bulbs, resulting in a flashing strobe effect across the store for months on end. As a result, there is an autistic boy crying & the rest of the customers are suffering. This is particularly unfair on those with disabilities like autism or epilepsy as they essentially cannot use this branch. It is apparent that the management is apathetic and does not prioritise inclusivity or take care of the place. Furthermore, they ran out of spoons so we couldn’t eat the cream on our hot chocolates. 😂😂😂 it’s never ending An elderly customer had to struggle to the counter to explain to staff that they can’t run a coffee shop without spoons- staff reacted in a dramatic manner, then put all the spoons on one customers saucer for them to have to share out between everyone in the shop 😂 Tables all over the place not cleared while staff socialise with each other.. etc. (See pic) Things to improve: - replace bulbs - maintain store properly - order enough ingredients (eg cream) - ensure staff keep tables clean - do not let staff get angry with customers - ensure staff do washing up so as never to run out of cutlery (spoons) or cups This branch has such nice furnishings & vibe let down by being a complete nightmare. All unnecessarily caused by ridiculous & apathetic staff.

Neros is a place that normally has a friendly bunch of staff with amazing coffee and for the most part the café in Sherborne has just that, but recently we have been served by a staff member who doesn't give of that same friendly vibe, he practically throws the drinks across the counter, spilling it and then makes more mess when cleaning it up, and regularly makes the wrong drinks (not sure if this is on purpose or just a clear lack of respect for his job and customers) I don't know his name but he has a mullet and is quite tall and skinny in stature. I do feel like we are served all the time by this staff member and it's becoming increasingly annoying to the point I feel like I should take my custom elsewhere, which is not something I would like to do as neros is one of the nicest places to go for coffee

This place is noisy! It was very full. I only like the coffee with an extra shot, otherwise it's very weak and widdly. The seating was okay, staff fine. We get two stamps on our cards because we have reusable cups. That's not bad. Can neither recommend nor not. It's Nero. You know what you're getting.

Visited Sherborne last weekend with my mum her sausage dog and my 4month old daughter , had a lovely day and it came to my daughter needing her bottle so we popped into Nero after finding it hard to get into other cafes with the pram (first time mum here ) we weren’t sure if the dog was allowed so mum hovered and I went in it was really busy long line busy Saturday lunchtime , I was feeling anxious as I knew my little one needed feeding and I thought we might not get in , I could see the guys on the counter where super busy so I kinda stood bewildered with the pram lol a member of staff walked by and I asked if the dog was allowed in and he was super friendly smiled and said Yh of course , he then proceeded to recommend a new sandwich too me as I couldn’t decide all while he was restocking the fridge on a busy lunchtime , so great got to the counter a young guy was friendly and welcoming actually ducked while making coffee so I could see the menu bless him took our order and without missing a beat carried our drinks over to our table for us as I had the baby and mum had full hands with shopping and a very over friendly dascuhund 😂 I was able to feed my daughter without worrying in a comfy armchair he bought our food over , made a fuss of the dog was super sweet and genuine our coffee and food where delicious - love the new pistachio coffee and cake ! We had a lovely relaxing lunch baby was fed , had a lovely atmosphere of friends having lunch and family’s in with their little ones looking at the pretty Xmas tree , which may I add the baubles throughly entrained my daughter while we waited to use … the baby change (hallelujah! ) and as we left the guys said Thankyou , bye , have a gd day etc , honestly the loveliest most helpful staff I’ve experienced since having my daughter and a lovely lunch well one guys I hope they give u a bonus or a blimmin good Xmas party ! Thanks for helping this...

Usually a costa fan but when there ice machine failed I thought I'd try Nero but unfortunately it's very bad and here's why.

Dirty behind the counter literally powder and mess everywhere.

Frappe has a stupid timed ice grinding machine which the staff trust to much which results in you getting big chunks of ice followed by a silly small straw which is useless because of all the ice getting stuck in it.

I have never had any toppins on my drinks so attention to detail is very poor.

I paid for a whats meant to be a nice frappe but all I get is a chunky ice milkshake which is difficult to drink also very plain taste not much of a party in your mouth.

If you think of complaining to customer support all I can say is good luck with that I complained with photo evidence and 2 weeks got nothing so I messaged again and still nothing.

Very bad company who do not care about there customers and the look of there business.

My advice is run fast and run far straight to costa....much better drinks and service, online support is much better as they have always treated me with care and respect.

I gave you enough time café nero to get...
