The Pear Tree — Restaurant in England

I visited for the first time last week. Having recently had a kidney transplant and being on some pretty heavy meds, I was exhausted and more than a little out of it. I kind of half fell through the door and said 'I need a drink and a sandwich or something', I must have looked like a mad woman. The staff barely batted an eye and were so friendly and accommodating.

I got a delicious sandwich and drink to take away, served with a smile, and at a very reasonable price considering the quality. The sandwich was really yummy, and I'm not just saying that because I was hungry.

I'll definitely be back, hopefully a bit more together in myself and I highly recommend. Lovely place. My new fave...

This is my favourite shop in Sherborne. It’s run by a lovely family who work very hard to produce a wonderful little gem of a place. The food, particularly the breakfasts, are outstanding. There is fresh bread available and they do the best freshly filled rolls to order in Sherborne. Especially the prawn mayonnaise and the coronation chicken. They have run deliveries to people’s homes during lockdown. There are perfect Christmas present items in the shop too; pretty boxes of chocolates and miniatures. The shop also sells a wonderful range of local cheeses and meats....

Excellent food and served quickly even though it was busy. Great tasting full flavour black coffee. We had steak and blue vinny salad, jacket potato with cheese and fritatta with salad and coleslaw. The only complaint from our table was that the fritatta could have been a larger portion. But everything was fresh and flavoursome. Excellent range of homemade cakes and desserts too. There is a deli section and stocks a large range of artisan cheeses ,biscuits, crackers, meats and chutneys etc. Particularly good to visit at Christmas for some...
