This little gem of a restaurant is absolutely lovely.
Started off being greeted by a kind gentleman (wearing face mask due to covid 19) to be taken to our seat. Being situated in a nice cosy environment with rustic, pretty and dare I say cute decor.
It's not a huge place, and in this situation that is a major bonus! It's not overly busy, overly loud or hectic. Just the right amount of seating for enough people to enjoy a romantic dinner date for two, a catch up with friends or enjoy some quality time with the family for dinner.
We (my fiance and I) were served by 2 different waiters and checked up on by a third, all of which were extremely polite, curtious, and friendly. Service with a smile! Had a bit of a giggle with our first waiter about wine recommendations to which he pointed us onto a lovely white wine, and were able to taste first, delightful!
After much time passing and conversing with each other we were ready to place our order. The menu is substantial, but not over crowded to a point you can't choose from being spoiled for choice. As they say a restaurant with a smaller selection of food knows what it can do and has mastered those dishes available!
A start of the hot meze platter for 2 (ordered to arrive at the same time as our mains) along with the butterfly sea bass and the mixed grill special. The platter was splendid! A great selection for the two of us with many varieties of flavours and food. The sea bass (my fiance's choice) was melt in your mouth delicious! The presentation alone made for great expectations which were exceeded by its flavour and quantity. My mixed grill comprised of many styles of kebabs and certainly didn't leave me wanting. Such a broad choice of flavours and meats to choose to start with I had to just dive in and oh my was this choice of meal the correct one for me! I'm not a big rice fan but even the rice that accompanied it was so good I ate the whole serving of it too!
I can honestly say the experience as a whole was that of some high end restaurants I've visited before and even better than some of a much higher cost. They have every aspect of a wine and dine experi nice covered to perfection to create a well and truly amazing, relaxing and fulfilling evening/meal.
I highly recommend a visit for be it either a lunch, dinner or a quick share of some mezes and a coffee. Oh! Their Lattes are...
Read moreI cannot find a single fault in this restaurant. It excels in every area, not only is the food delicious and well-priced, the atmosphere is both lively and pleasant, and the servers are very kind and helpful.
We went to celebrate my birthday, and so I was given a caramelised apple and vanilla ice-cream for dessert for free (which was, as with all their dishes, extremely tasty), as well as this they sung happy birthday to me which was a very nice.
They serve a wide range of Turkish food and have a nice traditional decor which goes well with the pleasant music.
This is genuinely one of the best restaurants all-round, it does absolutely everything very well, and the service, food and atmosphere are all excellent.
You should eat at this restaurant, after trying it once, you will...
Read moreWe were a table of 7 and everyone really enjoyed their food, the service was quick and polite. Would have given 5 stars, but was disappointed that a nearly £30 service charge was added to the bill, although we had spent well over £200. It is not mentioned on the menu or website, (hidden cost of food) i will be wise to it when i return. As i said food is great but it is a little pricey which given the standard of the food could be classed as acceptable, i don't agree with service charges, you don't go out for a meal and not expect your food not to be served. I didn't have the heart to argue over the service charge and spoil what had been a nice evening. £5 to £10 tip is more than enough considering the cost of eating out. If you get...
