Absolute diabolical level of service, having to wait so far 30 mins for 1 nutella wrap my son even lost his apetite, the cashier Gulafsa not 100% confident to be standing behind the counter, has customer service concerns as orders need to be repeated to her and made clear to her, the young guy in the kitchen who comes out occasionally to honour orders for people he knows seems favourable to certain type of people, even deliveroo and uber eats got fed up of waiting and in all honesty they were not even that busy, they had 4 orders and were flustered. End result STICK TO EVINGTON ROAD atleast they can handle the so called pressure and know how to look after their customers. Another young guy walks in headphones, tracksuit jacket, black jeans, fresh hair cut walk with pride goes straight to the kitchen so I'm assuming he owns the place, 25 mins later he still sees me sat at the table with my kids not a plate on the table and not even bothered asking if I'm waiting for anything, infact none of them did. I am still sat here now 44 mins after placing the order and losing my patience waiting to see how long it takes for them to realise I am waiting for an order or just say you know what forget it, its £2 just cut my losses and I will consider it as charity given. But u know what its principals as I went to work to earn that £2. "45 mins 1 nutella wrap, have you wondered why i am sat here front table no food on the table? I aint here for a break" she bites her teeth saying "oh" and goes to the kitchen, comes out and says he's doing it, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. She comes and hand delivers it to me and not even says a word. Read moreThe service for this store has gone completely down hill since covid. The manager who I believe is Naina is utterly and absolutely rude. Quite a few of us from our workplace would go to Chaiwala at least 3-4 times a week to now not going in at all. The amount of times I’ve been served by Naina and she has been nothing but rude when I have purchased drinks from the fridge and asked for a cup I’ve been told I’m not allowed one or I have to pay £1/2 for a cup because it’s Chaiwala’s policy… so why it when I have been to any other Chaiwala I don’t have this issue? When I have ordered food and said I would choose my drink when I come in I have been napped at saying I’ve caused inconvenience because she has to type the whole order in again and huffs and puffs no says it at the top of her voice on other customers can hear…. When I’ve ordered ice drinks ie limbu pani / Ice chai she never asks if I want any toppings or how if I would like anything extra and when I tell her she has thrown the drink the sink and shouted YOU SHOULD OF SAID this is what you call a manager… these behaviours? I even went to the extreme level of speaking to her actual boss because of this and got assured this would be looked into but she continue’s to do the same. Read moreHave tried a lot of chaiwallas and this one I could say has probably the worst service experience. Nothing wrong with food but a disappointing service. I have visited this store multiple occasions past few months as it falls on route for work and always seems unpleasant I think if it wasn’t the business name place would be not doing well. It looks as if always the same person always speaks very quickly with a very rude tone. Sometimes when person on front attitude can be better or some visits seems very rude like someone’s had a bad day at home. Something to look out for anyone reading this review, not sure if some others have experienced this. My most recent visit front desk staff taking took my order explained there will some delay, and the printed receipt was thrown on desk rather hand over which I thought was rude the secondly food which I ordered a second person after me ordering the identical food order received there’s before mine and receipt has order number on it so how does this occur doesn’t make sense not sure if there were a friend or someone person known they seemed to have chatted briefly. There is multiple visits that I felt awkward and probably my last visit at this branch.
