Chego's — Restaurant in England

We recently visited as a group of 4 and had been looking forward to it. The food was great and the focus on sharing really worked. The only criticism I would have is that we ordered few of the “while you wait” items. These took ages to arrive and when we chased them up we were told that they just come out with the rest of the food, and that’s the way it works. This seemed to defeat the object of “while you wait” so I suggest that the serving time of these is looked into or at least guests are made aware that they won’t arrive any earlier. I was excited to find this restaurant just because of the charcuterie board on the menu, but it also has a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful mural on the wall. We had the chef's choice board, with three meats and three cheeses and it didn't disappoint. The chutney disappeared far too fast (it went with everything!) and the accompanying bits were great complements to the meats and cheeses. Took my Mum for an early Birthday lunch. What a wonderful experience!

Super friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.

The food was delicious! We started with olives, then moved on to cheese fondue which was FABULOUS...if you love cheese this is definitely something you should try. Then shared a portion of churros to round things off.

Super value for money and I'll definitely be looking for an excuse for a return trip in the new year.

Here's hoping Chego's becomes a long standing...
