Service wasn't very good, had to ask for a bottle opener 5 times!! They weren't sure whether they did poppadoms to start with and when asked why 2 of the dishes on the (very reduced) menu were 50% more expensive than the others was initially told I don't know but then an 'expert' came out his answer was the £10.50 dishes were traditional and used traditional spices whereas the others had DIFFERENT spices?????? When pressed about what were the different spices he didn't know????? At this point I decided not to eat there but the rest of my party did and said it was ok. Whilst they were eating another party of 4 gentlemen came in and asked the same question I did but the manager came out to give them a response and told them to leave as he wasnt going to serve them!!! Desperate customer service 😡😡😡

Just a short walk from the main car park and well worth the effort, this is a little hidden gem if you like Indian food. With no licence for alcohol yet, the savvy locals stock up at the nearby Co-op. And yes they will even give you a corkscrew and glasses. The service was friendly and at-tentative. Food came out promptly and was suitably tasty. There was a Take away service going off as well, which seemed to be popular. As a frequent visitor to Looe this will now be my go to place for reasonably priced, quality food. Just hoping the tourists don’t spot it.

Second time we've ordered a takeaway from here and second time they've messed our order up. First time they didn't include the naan bread that we paid for, but we weren't too bothered. Gave them another go today and again they haven't included the naan bread that we paid for, or the rice. So we've paid £30 for 2 mains and some onion bajis. They did however include this container full of God knows what. Smells like a mixture of burnt hair and dirty dish water. Very strange. Quite sad really as we've dined in the restaurant and had a lovely meal in the past.

An absolute gem of a restaurant nestled in Looe. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who likes flavoursome Indian food. Don't get put off by their menu straying from the standard, whatever you choose will be exceptionally well made and utterly different from what you are used to with English Indian food.

The flavour pallette is unlike anything I've ever tasted from an Indian and in the best way possible. Even traditional foods were prepared in their own way mixing the traditional flavours with unique blends to give everything a new and exciting taste.

The spicy dish I chose was hot but the flavour was so beautiful that it was exceptionally moorish. It had lots of meat and vegetables and the sauce was the perfect ratio meaning I could dip my naan and bhajis in it too.

Onion bhajis were cooked to perfection and the Peshawari naan was generously filled and a lovely texture (no I didn't know I could enjoy the texture either!)

My partner's tandoori mixed grill had a gorgeous blend of herbs and spices unlike anything we've tasted from an Indian before and his naan was super loaded with cheese

The only thing I can fault is my stomach for not having room to finish the good sized portions.

The staff were attentive and welcoming and had so much time and attention for every guest. They accommodated our unavoidable lateness without any problem.

Toilets were immaculate and nicely decorated.

I cannot wait until we have the pleasure of eating there again next time we're...

A Hidden Gem in Looe Bay – A Must-Visit for Indian Cuisine Lovers!

We dined at this fantastic Indian restaurant twice during our recent holiday in Looe Bay, and both experiences were absolutely top-notch. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome – warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive.

The food is where this place truly shines. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The spices were beautifully balanced – rich and aromatic without being overpowering. We tried a mix of curries, starters, and naan breads, and everything arrived piping hot and cooked to perfection. tender meat in deeply flavorful sauces that reminded us of authentic home-cooked meals.

What made our visits even more special was the atmosphere. It’s cozy, relaxed, and perfect for a family dinner after a day exploring the coast. Dining here felt like a real treat and added a wonderful touch to our holiday.

We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area – this restaurant is a true culinary highlight...

10 years since my wife was diagnosed with coeliac disease I’ve never experienced anything as bad as the service as I have here. I have eaten in Indian restaurants all over the uk and the world never had any trouble ordering gluten free food but here I was met with a “nothing here is gluten free” shocked and not understanding I asked what he was talking about again he was quite dismissive and said “nothing here is gluten free” I asked what is in your food that makes it not gluten free. He said “spices and stuff” thankfully I left and went up the road to the other Indian restaurant and had a lovely meal and spoke to someone who 1 actually knows what goes in their food and 2 was able to advise accordingly. My advise if you have any food intolerance or allergies or an auto immune disease please avoid this place like the plague they obviously haven’t got a clue what goes...
