Cherries West Bay — Restaurant in England

My family and I came for breakfast this Sunday morning. The service was friendly and welcoming towards dogs. We had high expectations because of the good reviews, the advertising of the Café to supply locally sourced food and food made inhouse. My grandson ordered the adult pancakes' portion which was tiny. There were three pancakes with reheated frozen blackforest fruit and this for nearly 10 €. The milkshakes of my grandsons came in a very small glasses, too. One of them for 4,50 £. The rest of us ordered the full fried breakfast (Cherries breakfast), which was also very disappointing. Went in for lunch today with my wife, mother in-law and father in-law. My wife is vegatarin and my mother in-law can not eat gluten, I asked what hot meals were gluten free and was told nothing but they could do a gluten free bread roll!!! Asked what hot fillings could be put in the roll eg. Bacon, and was told nothing as all cooked on griddle so contamination.... So I then asked was the veggie breakfast cooked on griddle they said yes... I ponited out that it was not veggie as there would be meat juices on the griddle so how can they call it veggie when they said they use the griddle for multiple foods at the same time!!!!! Seemed not bothered. Give up on a hot meal gluten intolerance people and watch out you veggies, however I am not veggie and the meat stuff...

Lovely bright well thought out interior decor with fabulous views straight out onto the harbour. This cafe was a very pleasant surprise on our first visit recently as the outside does not reflect the light, bright, fun interior. There was a lot to choose from on the menu and we went for the homemade butter chicken curry which was delicious. The owner and staff are happy, friendly and welcoming which creates a lovely warm atmosphere which is as important as good food. Ice cream lovers will be in heaven too as they have the largest selection of flavours and desserts I’ve seen anywhere! We are locals and are looking forward to our next visit already and will no doubt be regulars in this lovely new...
