Ships galley — Restaurant in England

I’ve never seen so many fish and chip shops in such a small area as West Bay. It would take forever to try them all out but we started at Ships Gallery.

We had seen people collect their food and it looks tasty. The price was very reasonable so we made our order. They have a couple of tables at the side and it wasn’t very long before our food was ready.

£7.80 for Fish & Chips and a decent size portion it was. £4.30 for Battered Sausage & Chips and £1.50 for Curry Sauce, all fair prices. The curry sauce did look a bit thick and lumpy but it tasted a lot better than it looked and it was quite a large tub.

The girl that served us was friendly, and there was a good selection of free sauces in bottles as well as the obvious salt and vinegar. I would definitely recommend and eat...

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had, they should not be allowed to serve such terrible food to the public, I wouldn’t feed it to a dog!! Food was cooked in really dirty oil and that was all you could taste, the fish was batter was rock hard and greasy to the point where it was dripping off, the chips were awful also cooked in really dirty oil and the fish was at least a week old! I come down to this kiosk a few times a year I always buy my food from these guys as it's the best 1 on the harbour always large size dinner's served by friendly staff that will go out of there way for you even if it's not on the menu they will cook it for you. The fish is AMAZING the chips are the best 1s Ive had. And to be fair you never have to wait long for food when there busy.

BUT TO BE FAIR ALL THE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE REASONABLY PRICED............
