Not a Happy Father's Day. Went in with my 3 children to give them a treat. 2 other tables, so not too busy. Made the order at 11.50am. One waffles came out at 12.05, second at 12.12, then a sundae at 12.20... I chased the final freak shake.. was told just getting finished now... I asked why it was staggered and why I was not told when ordering... got a shrug of the shoulders and a lost look. So I politely went to the host/ waitress could I get the money back as it is not fair to be sitting there while my children watched me eat... APPARENTLY I couldn't and because they had now attempted to make the shake 30 minutes after I placed an order it was NOT something they would consider refunding.. they brought the drink to the table and offered the shake I refused and pointed out the empty plates of my children at my table. I got an 'OK' and she walked away with the shake as if it was a NORMAL occurrence and she had been turned away regularly... if this is the service when they have more staff then customers and the level they see as acceptable then I hope other patrons are prepared to be disappointed. I would have expressed my opinions to the manager but I was not offered the opportunity nor did anyone seem bothered about how upset my family was and how angry I was on a day that was meant...
Read moreOh my god, there sweets are delectable, melt in the mouth, tingle on the tounge put on two stone just looking at them good.
Me and my mates used to go in here week and I blame them completely for going up a whole dress size but than really it is just because it is so good.
Thinking back I tried quite a few things on there menu though it was always the sweet stuff never savory though it's just coze I love sugar not that there savory isn't good.
One of my favourite on the menu is the crepes with Nutella spread melted inside the crepes with sliced strawberries and whipped cream on the top and chopped nuts sprinkled into the oozing Nutella running out the side of the crepes. It was like heaven and i couldn't help inwardly moaning with each bite, always had a smile on my face.
The other thing I remember having was the Rocky Horror Sunade I believe it is called (though not 100%) I had it twice, the first time it was like an overload of Sugar I couldn't finish it all, but about a month later I had it again and this time I wasn't going to let it defeat me =)
So if you have a sweet tooth or crave something that melts in your mouth than head to Chocofellas with quick and cheerful staff and wonderful bosses you can't...

Hot chocolate was nice but that's where my positives end I'm afraid. Desert was brought out 1st (very odd, not only my table either) she said she'd put it in the freezer for me - when I finally came to eat it the brownie inside was solid and i couldn't eat the dessert. Several tables were seated after me and orders brought out so I asked where my panini was (20mins after paying and ordering) another 10 minutes later my panini arrived with the dessert - at this point I had 15minutes left before my appointment. I ate half my panini and tried to eat the dessert which was melting fast. I asked to take away the rest of my panini and decided to leave the dessert due to brownie being rock hard (frozen) And ice cream had melted.
This was supposed to be a rare treat for me but ended up being the worst experience I've ever encountered at a restaurant- I wish I'd had time to demand a refund but I didn't want to miss my hair appointment.
1 star given for the...
