Clair's Gluten free bakery — Restaurant in England

I would give Clair's 10 stars if I could!!

This is without fear of Hyperbole, the Finest and most Perfect Gluten Free establishment myself and my coeliac partner have EVER visited.

Clair is an incredibly knowlegable and passionate owner who takes pride in making almost everything she sells from scratch and also knowing what is in all the items on sale there.

The menu is vast and ever changing, a new special every few days, to compliment the existing staple items which range from Breakfasts to Toasties to an Aladdin's Cave of sweet treats!

We had the 'KFC STYLE' Chicken when we visited a few weeks ago, quite honestly it was better than the Colonel's own and left us both licking our fingers - if Clair could franchise this then she could bankrupt KFC inside a year.

I also highly recommend the Chocolate Muffins which were CRAMMED full of chocolate chips and the Quiche which my partner described as 'the best she'd ever tasted'. We will be stocking up when...

Food is quite dry and chalky so advise to take a drink here and sausage rolls a far to small for the price of 1 pound they should be about 60p if that for the size and food also looks undercooked because there is no colour and there is no taste in a lot of the food apart from a dry and chalky taste and staff are always slating customers for leaving feedback when its negative which is what I find wrong and the staff are always rambling on in the back and take their time instead of serving you will not be returning here and also there isn't even a sign to say mind the step and when people fall over because of the step she just stands and laughs at them which is...

Absolutely shocking service! My wife placed an order to be used at a family funeral as several guests were gluten free. The order was placed, put in their diary and paid for in advanced with a collection time of 10am on Saturday.

Came to collect, not only was it not ready, it hadn't even been made!!! The woman behind the counter was apologetic but didn't come across overly bothered either. She did refund us the money but left us in a position too late to be able to get anything else from elsewhere.

Thank you for making what was going to be a difficult day that little bit harder. Certainly won't be using you again and most certainly won't be...
