Always a warm welcome when you arrive. There may be a short wait until you get seated but never more than a few moments. A small threshwood between reception/till area and cafe is always pointed out when you go between the two for H&S reasons and taken to an available table where you are given three vintage looking menus which is a great start to your dining experience as well as the softly played background music of the 40's/50's era. I’ll definitely come back when I’m...

The waitress was abrupt and surely throughout. The second visit this week again was let down by staff who seemed to simply not notice we were there. We had to ask twice to order food and when our pudding came it wasn’t the jam and coconut sponge we ordered but a ginger sponge instead. The waitress didn’t even bring any cutlery to eat it with. On both occasions the food was good but quite honestly we thought the staff seemed to be a world...
