On this fine Saturday me and my partner ventured into Pateley Bridge. The sun was shining. Children were being somewhat enertained. Life could not be any better, or so we thought. We have been to the York branch of Cocoa Joe’s, and its a mutual favourite. And frankly, when you see a Cocoa Joe’s, the craving for the best hot chocolate you’ve ever had, starts up again. We had never been to the Pateley Bridge branch before, but as soon as we entered, we fell in love. The shop is cozy and buzzing with life. The intimate setting made the beverages taste even sweeter. I went for the “Apple Crumble” hot chocolate which i believe is the “Golden Amber” hot chocolate with some cinnamon and some oat cookie crumbs. Great Heavens… I had never tasted anything like this before and now it will be a constant favourite of mine. My partner went for the ruby hot chocolate with lavendar and rose. If you’re into floral tastes, you will love that. The staff, in particular Faye and Steve, were extremely kind and entertaining! They made the experience so much better. Looking forward to seeing them both again when we revisit. Im a very picky person with hot chocolates, or any hot beverages, but I can safely say that Cocoa Joe’s has the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. Every visit is perfection and the Pateley Bridge branch and staff take the cake. P.S...

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! A few months ago me and my partner stopped by here by chance while visiting Pateley Bridge. We stopped by this weekend and it was just as good. The menu is overwhelming at first but staff are happy to talk you through every and any question you might have. The first time we came I got something off the “chocktail menu” which are combinations of chocolate/flavourings to pick from. I went for the rhubarb and rose hot chocolate which was amazing. This time round I went for the Ecuador with rose syrup which was equally as delicious. Honestly the combinations and offerings are endless here and while sat inside it was lovely to hear the staff members happily talking customers through the different chocolate and their flavour profiles etc. We chatted to the person on shift and it’s clear he’s passionate about his work and enjoys what he does too! Always a lovely experience coming here. If you ever decide to open a shop in Ripon we’ll be the first...

I have always loved going to Cocoa Joe’s, it became a staple for every time I visited York and if I knew of any friends/family visiting I would make sure they stopped by too. When we decided to get married in York, we knew we needed to incorporate Cocoa Joes in some way! I therefore decided to get in touch to see if there was a way we could make this happen, Heather suggested to do Cocoa Joes chocolate pouches as favours and they would personalise them for our Wedding matching our colour scheme. I was so so happy with them and so were our guests! It was special to have a favour that we loved about York and so many people have told us they are going to order their pouches online because they loved the chocolate so much! Genuinely a lovely business that has the best chocolate drinks, I’m so gutted the centre shop is now closed but we will absolutely be making a special trip to Pateley...
